The Money is in the List…Is it really?
Look I know everybody says the Money is in the list, and Yes, to an extent it
is, but if you analyze this more closely, you’ll realize that the money is
actually in a list of Proven Buyers, people who have trusted you to atleast
give you one dollar, have made an agreement with you, and therefore are more
likely to purchase from you again.
Don’t believe me?
Let’s take a look at some statistics.
Out of a List of 100 Highly qualified Leads, 16 Made a $1.00 Purchase.
After their $1.00 Purchase, they “agreed” to make an additional $39.00
Purchase, a $17.00 per month commitment, a subsequent $47.00 commitment, and
have invested in tools and training that will help further their online
ambitions.
So the bulk of the profit, came from people who were willing to spend $1.00,
while the others sat idle in the subscriber database.
This goes to prove, that the money is actually in a list of “Fans” and not just
on a List of “numbers”.
Grant it, the Law of Averages is bound to take over, once you have enough
numbers rolling in, but the point of the matter is this…
If you can make your customer make a series of “small” agreements, $1.00,
$15.00, $20.00, they are more than likely to justify their “decision” to invest
their money, by continuing to make purchases that will in fact prove why they
made the first buying decision to begin with.
Some deep psychological stuff, but it’s true.
One more thing, it is more profitable, in the long run, to get 20 people to
invest 20 dollars, and back end larger ticket items, than it is to get them to
invest in a $3,000 straight off the bat.
And I’m not referring to MLM. There is usually no Big Ticket Back End in MLM.
I‘m speaking about a front end, retail item, where you can pocket cash up front
then back end bigger ticket items, and ultimately, place them in your MLM.
I learned this from one of my mentors, and I have proven this to be true.
There will be those who will invest the $3,000 but if you want a bigger number
of “fans” your pricepoint is best suited where Most people can get into your
sales funnel.
