No question about about it, just about every person involved with MLM HATES to approach friends and family members. And, truth be known, the fastest way to be alienated from your family is to start mouthing off about the greatness of your business. Recruiting friends and family members can be very effective, but ONLY if you apply the principles outlined in this article.

The biggest mistake in network marketing training is to tell new distributors to approach friends and family members about their business. The people closest to a new distributor may have no interest in network marketing, and the new distributor may take this rejection quite personally.

The fact is, ALL your friends and family members are interested in making MONEY!

To enhance the probability of successfully recruiting friends, requires a 3 step process. First, introduce your friends to your product FIRST. Do not even mention your business opportunity until they establish a liking for your company's products. If necessary, have them purchase the product for a long enough period of time to receive the tangible benefits of the product. Initially, you may even want to give them a free sample of the product.

It is also a good idea not to approach friends and family members about your business until you become successful in the business. When you are a new distributor, your credibility with the people closest to you is not great. You do not have a track record of success and it is unlikely they will want to follow you at that time.

Just wait until they look at one of your commission checks!

Even after you have achieved some success with your business, only approach friends and family members who have expressed an interest in earning extra income. And, only approach them ONCE! Do not"hound" them.
