The Size of Your Check is Being Restrictred...

...By Only Marketing Your Business to Prospects in the United States.

The title of the article is true if you think about.  Over 6 Billion people live on this planet and most of them live outside the United States.  So if you really want to capture the largest market for your business you should be marketing it online in ways that are targeted to each country, and if possible in the applicable languages.  

As a US citizen living abroad I have had the pleasure of experiencing many different country's cultures that do not speak English as their first language.  I have traveled all over Europe...whether it was Running with the Bulls, watching Lance Armstrong win his final Tour de France, or just seeing the sites in the former Soviet block. I noticed that people in these countries seemed to have the same desires. 

I have even been to Saudi Arabia where people think that the cultural differences are so vast from the US that there are not any similarities...this is not true.  The people living in Saudi Arabia (The Kingdom) have very similar desires that we do in western cultures, and that's the ability to provide a better life for their family.

This industry has the ability to change so many lives and we are missing out by not targeting at least a portion of our efforts to global expansion of our opportunities.

I am currently working on taking the first climate neutral certified company into China this year and I am really excited about the potential that we can build a team in a market with 1.2 Billion people that are really wanting to succeed in business.  They need so much help in cleaning up their enviroment as well.

These type of opportunities are special and should be given some time and attention.  Maybe there are a few of you out there have large enough teams that you have already expanded your business into non-english speaking countries.  Work with and through your organizations to find out how to target some of your marketing efforts in those countries.

I would like to see more content on how to market your business internationally, and I am even willing to spearhead this topic if there is enough interest and people who want to contribute.
