The Truth On MLM ....Secrets Revealed

A few months ago I wrote an article and posted a video concerning this very topic, The Truth On MLM.   I received a great response from both accounts. I basically described the scenario that MLM has an unbelievably high rate of failure and that anyone in their right mind would turn the other way. I mean why would someone join any MLM company if they know that it has a 95%+ failure rate? It is likely because of the hype and passion that the leader at the front of the room at your hotel meeting demonstrated for you. You were told that it would be a “no brainer” to join our company. We are the perfect storm, the best thing that has come along in 10 years, timing is everything because we are still in the infancy stage, blah, blah, blah. I think you get my drift and you have heard it all before. So why do so many individuals continue to sign up for an MLM company only to find themselves having little success and perhaps a little deeper in debt? The Truth On MLM is that it is no longer a business of recruiting. In years past, you could recruit 5-10 individuals who would do the same and before long you have an incredible organization leveraging your efforts, time and of course, making you some money. In today’s technologically advanced world, you have to brand yourself as a leader or you have to have a system in place that will have people coming to you instead of you going to them.   You need to become the hunted instead of the one doing the hunting. You need to build relationships with hundreds and even thousands of people. People will join people, they won’t join a product. If they do, then it won’t last long. People need to feel the sense of belonging, the sense that someone cares for them. Look at is this way, as I mentioned above you wanted to be hunted not the one doing the hunting. Another analogy I use is fishing. When you go fishing you can catch and then release. If you catch someone and they are not what you are looking for then you can let them go. That is the beauty of a system. You can qualify leads before you actually talk to them and by the time you officially make personal contact with them they are already interested in what you have to offer. If you hunt them, then you simply recruit them and they join but either you can’t retain them or they never actually get started. When you hunt with a gun, you can’t shoot something and then say, oh sorry, you weren’t what I was really hoping for.   Here, let me take that bullet out of you and then run along. It doesn’t work that way. So the Truth On MLM is that it is a relationship business not a recruiting business. You want to go fishing, not hunting. You need to be a leader that will always be there for your business associates. Unlike some upline leaders who are all about numbers and not about people. Until next time,Steve HacheyCo-Founder MLM Outlawshttp://www.stevehachey.com

I agree

Thanks Steve for the reminder. I never did like hunting anyway! I really love to fish though. There's something about pulling in a big fish! :)
