There she was just walking down the street...

You know every where you look on this site there is someone
trying to sell you something. Yes I know that is why we are
here but where is your dignity? Do you walk down the street
and ask every one you meet to buy your product? I bet most
of you wouldn't even talk to someone on the street. I know
this for a fact I have never in my 50 years of life been
approched in that manner. So why do you guys think it is
proper to do it here. Have'nt you guys ever realized that
nobody wants to be sold but every one wants to buy? Well
if you ever get that concept in your head maybe just maybe
you will stop trying to sell just to make your next pay
check and things will get a little easier. If you can make
a friend and they respect you and your way of doing business
and they think that they could do what your doing they well
be wanting to know exactly what it is you are doing. So you
may not reach that 10k in a month or two but if you can teach
in a way that people can duplicate. You will most definitely
have a group of friends and business partners that will be
with you for life. Not like the sell quick and then they
figure out I can't do this and move to the next great idea that
they won't be able to do either. If you make it simple enough that
a 8 year old can do it you are making it where anybody can do
it. I know that people like to buy but the point is they don't
like to be sold. My mom is a prime example I took her a sample
of my product and gave it to her. Not telling her I was in
business of selling the products she ordered two boxes of the
product. Now had I told her I was in the business I would have
gotten a WHY are doing that it will never work reply. IT is all
in the approach in the market you are selling. SO I guess what
I am saying STOP trying to sell and start making friends that
want to help you by buying your products.

People businesses

You can't sell someone on an opportunity and have them help you build a business. You will have to resell them every time you want them to do something.

Reds may approach strangers on the street with opportunity. Surprisingly they will find a taker that way. The problem is the commission on their entry fee is about all they will ever see from them.

Self-respect....

Some people just do not know the meaning of self-respect. They will go to any means to earn a dollar.

Nitty Gritty

Thanks for telling it like it is.  The concept is so simple.  Nobody wants to be sold.  They want to think that it was their idea to buy.  Great post.

Don't Make Out With Strangers...

Thank you.  That was great.

I think it's like walking down the street and making out with a perfect stranger.  It's more than strange, it's gross!

Embarrassingly enough I used to be like that.  Matter of fact, I'm very newly in recovery.  (not the making out with strangers part...)

Just like Juanita, I'm embarrassed that I ever looked at a person as an animated piece of currency.  Like I said before, it's gross!

My thanks go out to people like you who are helping to open my eyes and not only see other people for who they really are, but me too.

God Bless, Randy

'nuff said

It is rather sad when people pitch you as if you were some sort of mark. But I think that reflects why so few people are significantly successful at networking.

It is about building relationships and respect. Hopefully your article will go some way towards spreading that message.

Nathan
