these fires are killing me... so i'm leaving california!

hey guys,

if you haven't already heard by now,

there's some massive fires spreading like
wildfire across the entire southern california
region... and it doesn't look like it's going
to get better any time soon.

more than 500,000 homes were ordered to
flee the fires. even hotels serving as
temporary shelters for evacuees had to be
evacuated.

i was trying to go for my morning walk earlier
this morning and all i could smell is burnt
ashes filling-up my lungs.

it really wasn't a pretty site.

and it's getting way too crazy out here
so i don't think i can take it anymore!

that's why i'm writing you this letter.

#1) luckily, my area hasn't been directly
affected by the fires, but, more than a half
of a million other people already have.

that's why i'm going to be sending some money
over to the red cross to help out with the relief
efforts. and if you want to do the same thing too,

#2) because of all this uncontrollable madness,
i'm planning to head out of town for about
a week or so out to the east coast so that i
can escape these devastating wildfires.

and while i'm gone, i've decided to attend
a few seminars just to make sure my time spent
out there is still productive.

so if there's any one out there that would like
to get together for a mini brainstorming
mastermind session...

let me know and we can go get some jamba juice
or something and hang-out, talk shop, and see
what i can do to help you with your business.

(if we get together... you gotta promise to
at least buy me a drink okay? ;-)

#3) here's what my schedule kind of looks like:

* Thursday, November 1st I arrive at the
JFK airport in New York @ 8:15am.

I'll be travelling with the great jimmy davis
and we don't have anything planned for that
whole thursday...

so if you're in the area, let me know and let's
hook-up for some tea or a smoothie or whatevers.

after we arrive at the JFK airport...

next, we'll be heading down to connecticut
(or is it up... not quite sure of the geography
out there on the east side)...

but we'll be heading out to Howie Schwartz's
Sustainable Traffic Workshop on November
2nd and 3rd (Friday & Saturday).

and we also have Sunday free as well since
we don't actually leave until 8pm at night,

but because jimmy is such a big huge 'colts'
football fan since he's from indiana,

there's no way in heck he's going to miss
the big game that day with the last 2
undefeated when the 'colts' play the
new england 'patriots'.

so if you want to meet up with us
on sunday, it'll probably have to be
at some sort of sports bar so we can
watch the game.

#5) after connecticut...

we'll be heading out to Mesa, Arizona
for Joe Polish's Pirhana marketing
super conference.

(i think that's close to phoenix.)

there, i plan on battling tim ferriss who
wrote the book called the '4-hour work week'.

(i heard he too used to be a professional
breakdancer back in the day so i thought
a little battle for old times sake wouldn't
hurt. we'll see if he steps up to my challenge! ;-)

plus, another guy i really want to meet at
that seminar is the billionaire tycoon
'sir richard branson' who is the guy behind
the whole virgin airlines franchise.

big-time player... a very unconventional
thinker, brilliant entreprenuer, and i'm sure
there's 'heaps' (for all my mates down-under)
to learn from him.

but the main thing is,

if you're anywhere in the mesa, arizona
area and you'd like to get together
some time...

i'll be out there on november 8, 9, and 10th.
that's a thursday, friday, and saturday.
