I know that for me, after 17 years of struggle in and out of home based businesses, that I was just about fed up with it until I discovered that there are people who would teach me how to be successful in a home based business FOR FREE! Now, I'm actually making money in a home based business and not just spending it.
Working off of the principles taught by Napoleon Hill in his classic self-improvement, Law of Attraction book, Think and Grow Rich he encourages those that truly desire wealth or any other worthy goal would best arm themselves by working within the construct of a Mastermind Alliance.
A group of like minded individuals with the mutual goal of.... (whatever it is) For me and my mastermind alliance our common goal is to catapult each other to ultimate success in a home based business, and not only this, but to also aid one another in their ultimate personal development.
We meet every week for this purpose and sometimes many times a week as our schedule allows.
I've also learned a lot about my own personality in the personality training that was shared with me and I know it's OK for me to help ANYBODY who asks for help, no matter what, because that's just who I am, and other people have different personality traits and that's just who they are, and it's all OK. It's especially OK that I know how to identify their type of personality and know what they want by knowing their personality. Knowing what they want allows me to know how to best serve them.
The fact that people would actually help me understand how to achieve success in a home based business, regardless of what company I was in,has been such a remarkable blessing, that perhaps words are inadequate to describe how much it has meant to me.
Now that I know what's important to look for in a network marketing company, how to attract people to me that ask about my business, instead of me begging friends and family to "check it out" or "just try it", I can share this same blessing with others that I had shared with me.

I too have struggled with a home based buis., and was fortunate to find a mentor who really cares and is willing to walk me through the early steps of my home based buis.
Now I'm part of a team and can draw off of many people's experiance and strengths. I'm at a point were my own experiance as an owner of a small buis. can help the team as well.

Appreicate the reminder I read that book for the first time 30 some years ago and like you I am now finding out just how special an alliance can be. I am now alligned with a couple thousand others who all contribute to a National Marketing Coop, this gives us big leverage. We have now as part of our team Mike Gallagher, Michael Medved, Rush Limbaugh, etc mega syndicated radio talk show hosts.
We had Mike Gallagher on a conf call last night and he is just pumped about taking our product; and sharing his excitment. Now Marilu Henner from the Womens Entertainment Network is going to do a show on our business. Lifetime TV Fox all the major networks soon to be branding our new product and marketing system.
I echo your setiments about being aligned with extra ordinary people who bring out the best in you. I love being led by a true visionary a real leader who's passion and purpose make going through a recession a piece of cake.

It is important that we all understand that the only limitations we have are the limits we place in our own mind. The Mastermind principle has be utilized for a very long time. Andrew Carnegie and Napoleon Hill pointed out this principle in Think and Grow Rich, a truly amazing tool to guide your personal and profession life. It's a must read!!
No mater what business you are in there are an abundance of customers to reach. We must learn to shy away from the term 'competition' and learn to use our 'creative' faculty called our imagination. Remeber it was someones imagination that created this forum for us to communicate with. There is a universal law call the Law of Recieving - Giving always precedes and predetermines the reception, whether you are giving your thought, your word, your service or your deed.
The ided behind Think and Grow Rich was to give a set of principles that all people should live and apply in order to lead a successful and purpose filled life. Andrew Carnegie wanted this informtion to reach the masses. And here we are, after 100 years after the idea first appeared in his mind, were talking about it.

I have always held the same belief that positive minded people working together with the goals of mutual benefit of all involved was the way to succeed truly. However I was usually rebuffed because the thought never took into account the seperation of various home businesses.
I think that entrepreneurs are a special class of people who should stick together no matter what company they represent.
