Traffic Formula LIVE 2008 - Mike Dillard OVER-DELIVERED!

     I had very limited expectations about this event but I never thought that what was waiting for me was so invaluable!  It was worth every penny and more....

       The excitement began as soon as I boarded the Super Shuttle from the Austin Airport to the Hilton Hotel in downtown Austin, TX.  I met two other people who were attending the same event - Gina from East Bay, CA and Jimmy from Chicago, IL and we talked about expectations for this weekend.           

       We received such a warm welcome from the Hilton Hotel staff.  The room was first class and I was given one on the 18th floor with an amazing view of Downtown Austin and a river that flowed right through it.  It was gorgeous!  It’s as if Mike Dillard made sure that he chooses a hotel that will make every detail of our experience something to talk about.   

        During Registration, we were given a spiral bound 320-page MLM Traffic Formula that set the tone for this weekend! We all wanted to dig in and just learn, execute and get RESULTS!  The excitement in the room was so contagious – finally, there is real implementable HOPE!  We set up our server accounts and no, we didn’t have to learn Dream Weaver or set up an FTP Account to do it!  It was shockingly turn-key! 

       After Registration, I walked into the room and was in awe of what I saw! A room full of laptops and people who are simply eager to learn!  There were 100 people in attendance and there were people who flew in from Holland, New Zealand, Australia and Aruba to name a few!  Mike welcomed everyone and introduced his team, who all did their absolute best in giving one on one support. 

       We were dismissed early so went to the hotel bar to meet Mike Dillard and the team.  Raymond Fong and Fernando Ceballos were there and took some time to chat with us but Mike had to go to a meeting.  My new found friends – Tamara Jones from Pasadena, CA, Fredric Fernandez from Elk Grove, CA and Kevin Chavez from Houston, TX - and I, decided to go to  dinner at a restaurant called Moonshine. We had an absolute blast and Fred was generous enough to pick up the tab…thanks Fred!     

       On our 2nd day, our first full day session started at 9:30am but there were already people in their seats by 8:00am!  Mike and the team were so generous and thoughtful for providing us a breakfast buffet right in our meeting room.   I had butterflies in my stomach…I was so excited to learn, absorb and implement!   

       Aside from Mike, two individuals led us through this new found knowledge.  We are beyond grateful to Raymond Fong and Fernando Ceballos!  They shared from the hearts and patiently- but efficiently- walked us through setting up software, choosing Domain Names, building our own capture and sales pages, setting up our email auto-responders, embedding videos, pasting images, split testing and even tracking results.  Prior to this weekend, these were words that were foreign to most of us but thanks to them, I am ready to execute and apply lessons learned to become a true leveraging Internet Marketer.    

       People with questions raised their hands, and immediately Mike’s incredible team went to help them one-on-one!  Kudos to Tim Erway, Justin Christianson, Jean Laurin, Craig and Jim (who flew in all the way from Australia).  I apologize in advance if I missed anyone….  Oh, did I mention they also had catered lunch for us?  Talk about a pleasant surprise!  Mike’s Team had all the details covered which helped make for an effortless and smooth flowing event. 

       At the end of the 2nd day session, 2 big buses came and picked us up from the hotel and took us to Mike’s 6,000 square foot home in Austin, TX for a Tex-Mex and Margarita Party. When we got there, his babies welcomed us – a brand new Range Rover and his new acquisition, an Aston Martin DBS!   He generously showed us around and let us take photos of his desk – where his millions are made – as well as his very simple library of books, CDs and DVDs.  He does practice what he preaches!  After 2 hours socializing and getting to know the other event attendees, the buses took us back to the hotel.  I couldn’t go to bed from excitement!  I picked up my manual and read some more until I dosed off at 1:00 am!  

       Despite the Margarita Party and the other parties that went on in Downtown Austin on Saturday night, we were all bright eyed and bushy tailed going back to our Day 3 Session.  Our first Guest Speaker is one of Robert Kiyosaki’s most trusted marketing geniuses – his name is John (sorry about the last name) and he talked about the Cone of Learning and the concept of Context vs. Content…quite an epiphany!  One thing he said that was quite profound was:  “Wealth is determined by how long you can go before you have to go to work”. 

       Mike allowed us to purchase other Magnetic Sponsoring products for a discounted rate.  I purchased the MLM Traffic Formula CDs and Books.  Now, one would think that after a weekend like this, when our brains were fried to a toasty crisp that the last thing I would want is more reading material! That was so not the case for me!  I carried and read that humongous manual in the van, then in the American Airlines Admiral’s Club Lounge, and during the entire 3 hour flight from Austin to L.A.!  I couldn’t put the book down!  On my drive home from LAX to Huntington Beach, I couldn’t resist listening to the CDs!  I feel like I am Number 5 Alive from the move Short Circuit who said “input….input…input.”  I couldn’t get enough.   I was on hyper mode to learn!  

       There simply is a renewed hope and a fire that is burning within me that shouts HOPE – not just for myself but for the many whose lives I have yet to impact with my own.  I thank God, Mike and the team for helping bring back that hope.       

My Take Away This Weekend:

       That our main product and business is not what we currently market.  What we truly market is ourselves.  It’s the You, Inc. concept that Mike Dillard has been talking about.  It’s about: 

              1) Building A List - not necessarily the list of 200  you’ve all been asked to do.

              2) Building a Relationship – giving something of value without want, motive or manipulation.       

              3) Market An Entry Product to that List – to fund the promotion for your main business opportunity – hence, Funded Proposals. 

And when Raymond Fong was asked what 2 words he can share to newbies?   Execution and Courage – I believe that sums it all…

        Why did I take the time to write a recap and share this with you?  Because of 2 things:  1) I want to give credit where credit is due…Mike Dillard and his MS team truly over-delivered and out did themselves! 2) I want to inspire others to “fail forward fast”- I know there are people out there who might also be looking for something different and out of the ordinary that will give them HOPE but are hesitant to act on it.  I want to show them what they could have gotten had they acted on Mike’s invitation.   

        It was certainly a pleasure to share this with you.  I pray that you, your families and your business will be blessed beyond your wildest imaginings!  Create value….serve others without want…seek out your true purpose and get your life priorities in order.   

        You and I were designed for success.  Yes, you can succeed on your own but it might take a bit longer… if you want to go on turbo speed, connect back to your source…your Higher Power…I know who mine is…who’s yours?
