Using Autoresponders to Drive Traffic to Your Blog
The top thought on most blogging network marketers minds......... how can I increase traffic to my blog?
Using your autoresponder as a tool is one way to create the traffic that you are looking for.
Let's say that you have a newsletter with a subscriber base, or that you have leads that you have generated or bought and you don't feel as if you are getting them to your information enough. You see that your emails are not getting opened as much as you would like. Or if they are getting opened no one is going any further.
So what can you do to polish up your autoresponder messages and get a higher conversion rate?
Subject lines. Your subject line is going to be the deciding factor on whether or not your email is going to get opened. You have just a few key words to give someone a strong enough call to action or pique their interest enough so that they will click the read button instead of the delete button.
Make your subject line catchy, or compelling, or even off the wall, but make it different enough so that it catches the readers attention. Make it flow with your writing style and your personality. It doesn't neccesarily have to be about the subject of your email- you have to choose what works best for you.
But spend more than a passing thought on your subject line because no matter how good your email is, if it doesn't get opened it is not doing it's job.
Content. Short and sweet- give good content. Now that you have gotten your subscriber to open your email don't fill your entire email with a pitch about your opportunity. In fact, don't even mention your opportunity. New to the attraction marketing part of network marketing? Every fiber of your being is probably screaming noooooo! right now.
You want to tell everyone about your opportunity. You want to fill your email with your business, what it is about, why it is so great, how they are going to make so much money. Don't do it. It is the quickest way to drive people screaming in the other direction.
Give them only part of the message. This is a strategy used by some of the top network marketers. Make your email a post from your blog or an article from your website. But don't put the entire post in the email. Give them enough to solve half the problem, to know part of the information. And then put a link directing them to your blog or website to finish the rest of the article.
Put a few related posts in your newsletter. Make the topic of your newsletter related to two or three posts on your blog. After the newsletter write a "to see more articles on this subject" line and put the names of the posts below with a link to the site. If the content in the newsletter or email is good enough and the headlines of related posts catchy you will definitely get some clicks.
Ask. Give a call to action for your newsletter or autoresponder subscribers to go to your blog. You will be surprised by how many people go just by being asked.
Autoresponders can either be a great tool or a waste of time depending on how you set them up. Many business replicated sites come with autoresponders that are already set up and do the opposite of everything stated above. Stand out, be different. Wouldn't you rather be in the read mail pile then in the delete pile?

Hi Dean-
Thanks for the tip- it will definitely help. Headlines are the hardest part for me. It is very frustrating sometimes because they are so important so even if it takes some practice this will be great.
