Video Marketing and Web 2.0 Strategies
Read More: I recorded 2 videos last night, wrote several blog posts, a squidoo lense and a few social bookmarks to aim to get ranked for the term betternetworker.com and www.betternetworker.com - In total it took me about 2.5 hours.
Over the next few months, there will be many people searching for this keyphrase and similar keyphrases. My aim was to tap into the traffic source and attract a few of those people over to my sites.
I already have a successful network of websites and each day there are over 25 people who actually type my website address into the Google search bar rather than in the actual address bar of Google. This then brings up a list of search results and if someone see's something that catches their eye, they will click on it. (My site gets around 1000 uniques per day, so only a small number of people type into Google search rather than the address bar, but it's enough to capture a small amount of traffic)
I'm not sure what the current rankings for the terms betternetworker.com www.betternetworker.com and betternetworker are now, but when I looked this morning, I had many of the top 10 spots for each phrase in Google, many included videos.
This is a great strategy to use when there is a new MLM company on Pre-Launch. Everyone is talking about the company, there is a huge buzz and people are searching in Google for that company. If you are quick enough, you can get some videos, blog posts, web 2.0 site posts etc for the main company or opportunity term and can tap into that stream of traffic.
I also created an adwords ad for betternetworker.com and related keyphrases and currently, I'm the only adwords ad on the page. Paying around 0.08 pence per click and I'm targeting Network Marketers for my business. (I'm sure by me mentioning this in this article, it won't stay that way for long, but I'd like to share these ideas with others.)

This is a great strategy but short - term. As people catch onto this, you will be competing for space. I would also recommend a couple of articles on one of your websites, specifically about better net worker, to allow that page to get a higher more stable ranking than relying solely on the social network sites which fluctuate a great deal and are not tested in the long term to a degree that you can be confident that in two years your rank will hold against a website that can maintain rank on content.
Otherwise, bugger, wish I'd thought of that :))
