WARNING TO ALL NEWBIES - Stay Away From Rebate Processing
I know this is a bit off topic but there are a lot of folks in this community that are new to this industry. This rebate processing thing may look like a good way to add to your multiple streams of income but it not a wise move...read on the get the full scoop:
It sounds easy ..all you need to do is type, fill out forms and you can make $225 a day with Process At Home by signing up for their rebate processing program. Pay $197 and you will be receiving checks as soon as 15 days from the time you start.
No special skills needed, all of your training is provided.
It's no wonder so many people are signing up with Angel Stevens. Who wouldn't want to make such easy money?
There are 4 basic steps that Angel Stevens provides in her Process At Home program.
First, you create an account with PayDotCom. This is a third party service that provides companies a way to out source their affiliate programs.
Second, you choose which products you want to promote in your advertising. Process at Home suggests certain work from home opportunites such as Paid Surveys and other rebate processing programs.
Your third and final step is to choose the type of advertising you wish to do. There are four choices:
1. Free Classifieds
2. Blogs
3. Opt In Emails (spamming)
4. Pay Per Click
It is within this last step that the Process At Home system really breaks down.
First, lets look at the free classifieds. Folks looking through free classifieds online are not looking for work from home opportunities or informational products. They are looking for job listings or specific items, like Pure Bred German Shepherds or a used Harley Davidson Motorcycle. This is not a viable way of driving traffic to an affiliate website. A classic example of "you get what you pay for".
Next is creating a blog on Blogger.com. This actually not a bad way to market an affiliate product, but there are two issues with this form of marketing.
- You need to be writing on a regular basis about your product or products and be making a real effort to provide valuable information to your readers to instill confidence in you and the product you are promoting.
- Blogger.com is owned by Google and any blog on Blogger can be "locked" at any time for any reason. So even if you do happen to create a fantastic blog that is making you some money, it could all be taken away from you on a whim.
The next option is opt in emails. Basically, this is spamming. You are directed to buy lists of email addresses and blast offers into peoples inbox. How many of those emails do you open? I know I don't.
Last is Pay per click. This can get very expensive very fast. The keyword "work from home" or any keywords in that family go for about $10 per click or more. So, lets say you have a $100 budget, that is gone in 10 clicks. Trust me when I tell you that you will spending FAR more than you will be making if you listen to Angel Stevens' advice in using pay per click.
So, you may be asking at this point, what they heck does any of this have to do with rebate processing?
NOTHING!
Bottom line, all Angel Stevens and Process At Home teach you is the basics of internet marketing and how to go about marketing affiliate links.
The "rebate" aspect comes in when they suggest that you offer your selected affiliate product at a discount. You are offering a portion of your commission in exchange for a sale - that is the rebate.
You thought you would be getting a job processing rebates for Home Depot and Best Buy, instead, you get a lesson in internet marketing and not much else.
The deception doesn't end there...
There is so much more to this story that I can't get into here for fear of serious repercussions. To get the full story about Angel Stevens, Process At Home and how far this deception really goes go to:

Angel Stevens
I realized I got duped when I joined this program. Thanks for sharing this information.
Angel Stevens
I have known several people who got burned by this. I wrote a hub on hubpages about it some time ago. http://hubpages.com/hub/Rebate-Processing Also beware of Angela Penbrook - Penbrook Publications - same scam. There is tons of information on Ripoffreports.com on both of these programs.
Interestingly enough one of my friends got a call two weeks into Angel Stevens program by another company, who said they were given this womans info by Angel, offering more training, a website, and much more. 2 months later, she is out over $6,000 dollars.
This is serious business and a VERY serious scam.
Thanks for posting this info here....
Vianet Internet Marketing Program
Yup, Its called Vianet and they got me for $8000. This scam goes way beyond a simple $197 rebate processing program/ebook.
