Weekly Training Call - S.O.S.
This article is in no way to offend any one. My objective of this article is to hopefully hint or literally
tell leaders to seriously consider their use of time during training calls. I for one love to have a good
time like the next guy, but consideration should be made for those who are new and for those who
are very serious about building their business. Generally in the beginning of the call, the moderator will
have everyone introduce themselves when they ping in. So while you are waiting for people to get on,
all you hear is ping - ping - ping. On every ping the moderator will have that person say who he is
and from where is he calling from. Now, I know what this represents. The more pings the better.
I don't have a problem with that. What I feel is important and may show professionalism is when
a scheduled call is at at 8:00 p.m., it should start at 8:00 p.m. To some people time is very
PRECIOUS.
The beauty of Network Marketing is that it allows people with day jobs to work part time on their
business. So time managment is so important. A mother of three , for example, giving up an hour for
a needed training call may get discouraged when the moderator is joking around and chatting away
the first 15 min of the call. The new guy or gal that just signed up and has zero knowledge of
network marketing may have a false impression of the company they just signed up for. The time to
joke around and chat away , in my opinion, is after the training part of the call is done and when
there are no more questions. This allows for those people to either stay on the call or hang up.
Am I too Picky?
I would like to hear from you .

Great Idea
That is a great idea and a tme saver since we are all busy. I feel introductions are unnecessary but that's my opinion. I've never had a better learning experience because I knew who all was on the call. In fact, the illusion that more people than I think are on the call sometimes is better. If you don't have a great turnout on a call then the people that still showed up don't underestimate the importance of the call.
Starting out with an outline of what will be covered and how long the call is going to last is another great feature. This also helps give the person taking notes a brief synopsis of what they will be writing about.
Take Care, Good Luck and Live Prosperous!
