What An Aha Moment - Michael Dlouhy told me my true personality color!

Read More: Mindset  |  Personal Development

For weeks I've been discussing personality colors on Radio Randy and for weeks I have truly gone back and forth trying to guess my own personality color.

Last night I was on a awesome skills training call with Michael Dlouhy and when the conversation turned to personality colors I spoke up and finally asked him if he could tell me my personality color.

Me and a friend of mine were almost sure I was blue, then another guessed that I might be green.

You can only imagine my amazement when Michael revealed that I was actually Yellow!

Not only did he tell me my color, but he told me the personality color of my wife who was not even there.

He knew right off because he had seen my lesson and my story from Chapter 7 of Think and Grow Rich.  He told me only a yellow could have written that emotion packed lesson and story.

Further, he said that though I'm yellow (typically very sensitive emotionally and prone to taking things personally) after all I had been through it would be impossible to offend me.  I already had the mental toughness to oppose any personal offense.  (I could only laugh inside myself, because he was exactly right! lol)

My huge AHA was that now that I know my true personality color, I can act in alignment with my best traits and not fight against it or try to hard to be in alignment with trait I think I should belong to instead of the one I really am.  (I hope that's making sense.)

I have some strong traits typical of both blue and green that serve me well, but it also makes total sense to me that I have a yellow personality.

After all the hardships I went through in my youth, I've developed a large capacity for compassion for other people's situations.  I cry at sad movies, I cry at the news, I cry at church when I see other people express their faith or trials.  I love and nurture people.  I love making friends and helping people.  It makes total sense.  Now I make sense to me!

According to what Michael has taught me, the motto of a yellow is, "Let's be friends."  Typical occupations are a teacher, nurse, counselor, therapist.

This is why I love what I get to do here, because I can teach and council with people.  I can help them to find the success that they are looking for because I am supportive and nurturing as a yellow.  Yellows are also team players, dependable, and patient.

Yellows typical dress is casual and comfortable.  (Yep, that's me) ...and unlike the blues they don't need the flashy jewelry or the fancy or loud clothing to be at ease.  (That's me too.  I could care less about that stuff.)

Yellows speak in a soft and gentle voice.  (Well, sometimes I'm there and sometimes I have more of the blue quality in my voice, loud and fast.  It just depends on my mood, the seriousness of the subject I'm discussing, and even who I'm discussing it with.)

Typical weaknesses of a dysfunctional yellow are that they are over-sensitive (I'm way over that, not a problem), they're a follower, and they're not goal oriented.

Key words for a yellow are Team, Together, Relationship, and family.  (How many times have you guys ever heard me say the word relationship! I've lost track. lol)

A yellow dislikes pushy people, bullies, or conflict.  (I can say yes to every single one of those points.)

So as I jokingly suggested in my last radio show about colors, we have in reality consulted a personality color expert and the verdict is in I am YELLOW!

Now that you know.  You can joke and tease about me being YELLOW, but I don't care, I just love you guys! lol

Knowing my true color is tremendously liberating and helps me to understand and accept a lot about myself.

Thank you Michael, and thanks to all my Mentoring For Free family who have helped me along my path to this point.  Let's keep on heading onward and upward...

Your Forever Friend,

Randy Enman

I knew you weren't BLUE!

After talking to me on the phone, and getting to know you a little bit and "connecting" on a personal level, I knew you could get a hold of people on an emotional level.

Then on the call last night, intermingled with the "colors page" (after realizing I did my chart all wrong) I had a feeling you may instead be a blue. I don't picture you as the "flamboyant" blue guy you claimed to be.

Since you and I seem to be alot alike, I'm willing to bet I know my actual color. You'll still have to sit there guessing till you figure it out though! LOL!

Your Buddy,

Colors Training Needed by everyone

I have also been in network marketing for over 20 years.

For anyone, (who for what ever reason) doesn't believe in the colors system, I can tell you your job of Prospecting--Recuriting -- and Training will be VERY painful.

You need to understand you CAN'T say the same thing to everyone and expect to get any type of high returns. Again that's back to the old way of doing business.

We're in the 21 century and all of us need to put the "NET back into network marketing.

Good for You!

Randy, glad you found your true color as yellow. I've studied the colors from Jerry Clark's, The Magic of Colors. The giftings of the yellow is incredible for building long lasting relationships which is what this industry is all about! For those of us who are not predominately yellow, you have strengths we have to r-e-a-l-l-y work on!! Wish you much success!
