What Can Break Your Company
Attitude
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.”
By Charles Swindoll
While I was thinking about what to say in my article about Attitude, I remembered this note that I have kept tucked away for years. This piece by Charles Swindoll says it so well that I thought it was well worth sharing it here.
Have a great day!

Attitude
Well Lynn, I find I have to agree with Swindoll. Having spent many years in the role of a public servent, I have learned how to defuse most arguments and scenes with my attitude. I myself hate to be talked down to or treated like I'm not quite up to the mark. But, I've also learned that the way you approach other people controls the way they react to you. It also works in the reverse. If you approach someone with a smile on your face, and respect, they will react to you in the same manor. If they already have a bad attitude before approaching you, treating them with kindness, and quiet understanding will usally undermind their rudeness, and they are embaressed about how they have acted. If that doesn't work (which there is one in every crowd) politely excuse yourself for a moment, go around the corner, and give them a chance to cool off. After you have hit the wall kicked your desk, blown your nose, and straightened your hair, go back and talk to them again. Nine times out ten your will find they have a brand new attitude. EJN
Attitude will take you to the highest high
will also take you to the depths of despair, its all about whats going on between the ears and what you are projecting into the world. Project light and you get light! Thanks Lynn!

“It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come. ” ~~ Dalai Lama
