What Do You Do When Someone Rips You Off?

We have all seen it before.  Some revolutionary mind comes up with a product idea and then the next thing you know someone else comes out with a watered down version of the product/service/system that is far inferior.  The majority of the time the "thief" is a former student or consumer of the very product/service/system they are ripping off.  That to me is just sickening.

Take "Magnetic Spnsoring" and "MLM Traffic Formula".  Over the last year or so, I have seen several books/programs that I can tell right away are exact copies of Mike's programs and I can almost guarantee you that the people who created these copy-cat programs learned them directly from Mike.

Every once in awhile you see a case where someone finds a flaw in the system (or a gaping hole that is missing) and what they release is actually better than the original, but in 99% of the cases it's not.

Personally I would sue the pants off anyone who copied my programs, but unfortunately when you have the best program available it's only a matter of time before people are going to try to steal your market share (usually by offering the same information at a lower price).

This happened recently to my friend Matt Bacak.  If you are currently marketing online and you don't know of Matt, you have to question yourself whether you are really serious about marketing online.  He is the most sought after marketing advisor in the world and his clients read like a who's who of marketing superstars.

Matt developed a seminar called "Millionaire Intensive Training" which he has sold out time and time again at a price of $5500.  People flocked to his office from all over the world and the success stories (mine included) from this seminar are incredible.

Because of the success of his program (and everything he teaches), people tried valiantly to rip him off.  Finally realizing that his program couldn't be duplicated, a few people just took his whole package and stuck their names on it.  It was the same product word for word and these people were claiming that they had put in the hard work to create it.

Obviously Matt was furious and he basically had two options.  One, he could have taken legal action and shut these guys down.  Two, he could fight fire with fire.  He decided that what comes around goes around and rather than play dirty with these guys and bring bad karma on himself that he would retire the program and sell it to anyone who wanted it for $1.  Not only is he basically giving away the same product that people paid $5500 to learn but he is also donating each dollar that he makes to Habitat For Humanity.

For those of you who think that this is a giant ad for Matt or this program (frankly the time it took for me to type this is costing me way more than the $1 I make in commission) you are sadly mistaken.  I too am donating my proceeds to charity so the purpose of this is to one, make you aware of what Matt is doing so you can get your copy and two, give you a chance to think what you would do in the same situation.

There may be a time in your life where you have created the perfect product, only to see someone steal it from you.  How will you act?  Will you take revenge by disparaging the thief or will you beat them at their own game by giving away your product.  I would have originally gone for option 1, but seeing Matt's idea makes more sense in the long run.

Remember that positive attracts positive.

To our success,

Chuck

I set up a quick link for Matt's $1 offer for my teleseminar listeners.  Already 500 plus have bought the program.  That means over 500 dollars have been donated to charity.  I would love to see this number over $1000 by the end of the day.  This will be the best dollar you have ever "spent".

Thank you!

Thank you Chuck. What an amazing deal.

I can't believe all I am going to learn with this. Just had to come back here to post and express my gratitude!

Glad you are liking it Joanne

Glad you were one of the smart ones to grab this incredible deal.

As you may have read in my email to all my listeners today, I have become addicted to this training. I spent several hours last night going through the videos and I am going through more today. This is, bar none, the greatest deal I have ever seen. Just one video would be worth about 50 times the $1 investment, not to mention everything else you get. I have spent several thousand dollars on other programs that don't go over a fraction of what this does.

I think Matt has lost his mind. :)
