What is your business...?
There are many different parts that make up a successful home business. What part of your business is the most important part?
Is it how good your product is or is it how great your compensation plan is?
Well, although these can play a part in your business they are not even close to the most important part of your business.
It doesn't matter if you are promoting "the best vitamin in the world", or if your company is a "ground floor opportunity". It doesn't matter what the ORAC value of your product is, or if "my business is better than your business."
So what is the most important part of your business?
The most important part of your business is "YOU!" Yep, you are the most important part of success or the failure of your business. It doesn't have anything to do with the comp plan, or how great your company is.
When someone asks you what business you are with, what do you say? Do you tell them that you are with "Company X" or do you tell them "You, Inc"?
The company that you are a distributor for is NOT your business. The minute that you put yourself first in your business and consider yourself the most important part of your business is the minute you will become successful.
Sell yourself and not your company. People will join you more times than not over your company.
By selling yourself, this will allow you to position yourself as a leader and have people learn to trust you and buy into "YOU"!
By getting people to trust you over a period of time, they will automatically be attracted to what you have to offer because they see you as a leader and a person of power. Being this person of power in their eyes makes your prospects feel like you can absolutely help them achieve their goals.
The best way to position yourself as a leader and get people to trust you, is by generating a large list of names and email addresses of other marketers, and giving them helpful information that they can take and use in their current situation.
Giving them helpful information will make you seem less threatening and not so much like you are trying to sell them anything or push your business on them.
Nobody likes to be sold anything, by positioning as non threatening and not trying to sell anything. You will in turn attract more quality prospects to you.
Remember, quantity is not quality.
As a recap, position yourself in front of other marketers and give them something without wanting anything in return. Make "You" the most important part of your business and sell yourself instead of trying to push your business onto people.
You will find that by thinking and becoming a leader you will attract like minded people to you ready to join your business. This all starts by being effective at generating leads from your target market and automatically marketing to them.
