What is Your Daily Plan of Operation?
What is Your Daily Plan of Operation? Or as some call it your "Action Plan?"
Here is the problem with most people:
They get up, get the coffee, watch the news, take a shower, feed the dog, go get ready, grab another cup of coffee and then sit down at their computer 9-9:30am. Then, the FIRST thing they do is check their email accounts, get rid of all the junk go through the "pertinent" stuff, respond to a few emails, write a few new ones and generally hang out in email world for another hour.
Then it is time to check out their Facebook account, their Twitter account, MySpace, etc. etc....you get the picture.
Ok...now its 11:30am...time to go grab some lunch....let the dog out....put in a load of laundry....
Uh oh, another hour has gone by...but, really! I am going to focus on my Daily Plan of Operation today! Seriously!
The time is now 12:30p-1:00pm. What have you accomplished so far today? NOTHING! And the cycle continues day after day after day. Unfocused, wasting time on menial tasks and then you sit back and ask yourself : Why is my business not growing?!? I AM doing everything right!
What? Are you kidding me?
Do you realize how much valuable time people waste checking their emails and doing menial tasks? Can you imagine how much incredible amounts of time are wasted when multiplied over a 6 month or 1 year time period?
Just think if you had a Daily Plan of Operation? A Schedule or Action Plan? What if you took all that menial task nonsense and turned it into a REAL productive day? Can you imagine doing that day after day? You would start to see incredible results! Slowly building over time until one day it is a year later and you wonder "How did I get here? What an incredible journey and I was having fun building my business at the same time. I was making good use of my time and it got me further down the road to my goals!" Good for you! I would be there to encourage and congratulate you every step of the way.
Do you think Tiger Woods gets up every day and does the above nonsense regarding email, etc.? I seriously doubt it! That guy is FOCUSED! When he wins one tournament on Sunday he is back out there on Monday practicing. Tiger never lets himself think that he is so good that he doesn't need to practice. He has a coach to help him achieve his goals. He has a Daily Plan of Operation, a Schedule, an Action Plan and he sticks to it. He knows that if he wants to be the best, he has to stay ahead of the rest of the pack.
Which model are you like in your every day life? Are you the focused Tiger Woods or are you "e-mail guru, internet-starship-trooper genius and generally waste time with the best of them?
I choose to be like Tiger Woods and have a Daily Plan of Operation. I love winning and I don't want to be left behind. I want to be a champion and therefore I know I need to act like one.
I belong to a mastermind group, I coach and am coachable, I learn and am not afraid to ask for help when I need it.
Ask me about how I can help you develop your Plan. I love helping people change their bad behaviors into good ones. If you need a Mentor, I am here for you. I have a whole Network of like-minded people that I am associated with who are here to help others as well.
I want to see you succeed. I want you to use your full potential. Do not say "I can't!" That is an excuse. If some of the people I know who have come from the depths of despair and can turn their life into one of Abundance and not of Lack.....I can help you as well. Call me ANY time and I will be more than willing to be your coach if that is what you need to succeed.
Follow those who have forged the way already and don't try to do it on your own. You can be successful! There are lots of ways we can get you started. Just take that first step and you will be on your way.
Let's develop your Daily Plan of Operation together! I know you can do it and I can help...just let me know how I can help YOU.

Daily Plan of Operation
I plan my day the night before.
I start out by checking email, quickly. This takes no longer than 5 minutes total. Anything that will take longer, I put into writing time later.
Next, I get the tea - no coffee - that will carry me through the morning.
I get out the research that I have done and work on blog posts, articles, or progress notes to clients - this takes about 1-1/2 hours. I check email again and reply to those needing more consideration.
Now, I'm ready to make phone calls to train folks. This is 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
I check on my web sites, what's come in/gone out, what's out of whack - about 1 hour.
Lunchtime. I plug my iPod into my ears and listen to a training call while I cook, eat, clean up and take a quick walk.
Back to phone calls or writing or web design or graphics. Whatever the priority of the day is - 2-1/2 hours.
Break for more tea and maybe a bit of chocolate - 10 minutes.
Check email again - 5 mins. Check web profiles and respond to posts. Total 30-45 mins.
Back to the priority of the day until 5 pm.
iPod again while I make dinner, serve it, eat it, clean up.
Back to work with my team members who have day jobs and are able to work with me evenings - up to 3 hours.
Review the day and make my list for tomorrow - 15 minutes max - anything longer is too much second guessing or pondering.
Straighten the desk, set the phone in the charger, shut off the computer, close the office.
My commute takes less than a minute, and I'm off to bed.
Focus Pocus!
Focus is magic and can transform your days.
A day unplanned and used haphazardly is a day potentially wasted.
Thanks for the great reminder of how important it is to stay on track and Tona, what a great example of having a daily plan.
Your Forever Friend,

Plan and follow it!
Keeping on track is what it takes to succeed in whatever you do. Thanks for reminder and the offer of help. You have the Heart of a servant!

Thanks Tona, Randy & Tim
Tona, What a great plan. You are very focused. It is so easy to get caught up in the every day menial tasks and forget to really concentrate on the important ones. After all, it IS about building your business and not reading every joke someone sends you via email. Your plan is right on!
Randy, Tim....thanks for your comments. You guys are the best!
My day...
Up at 6am, spend 45 minutes with my daughter and walk her down the driveway to catch the bus. Then have my tea and check email, only takes a few minutes. I get on to social network and do an article, make a few comments. Next will call my other daughter to wish her and the grand kids a good morning, and plan out day,(we work together, praise God!) I have time to work my traffic exchanges and do some odds and ends before lunch, take a break and go to town to get mail and see the friends. Then home to afternoon training call, after do some training with my team. I make dinner and share an hour with my daughter before hitting it hard in the evening, doing follow ups, training calls, and check email. I end the day as I started it, spend quality time with my daughters, and after she's tucked in and off to sleep, I write another article, blog or two, check my schedule for tomorrow, have a look at Facebook, and call it a day around 12 or 1am, I sleep well!
Awesome Stuff!!
Thank you for sharing your daily plan of operation. It is important to FOCUS! I will use some of your tips in my plan!
Plans
If you don't plan then you plan to fail. Start each day with a goal complete successfully. If you do this every day without fail accomplishing your desire will surely follow.
