What Turtles And Marketing Have In Common.
Slow and steady wins the race…
It is really funny where you get inspiration for your writing…
I was sitting around last night watching a little football, sipping on a tall cold one. When at half time of the game I was flipping channels and the old story of the tortoise and the hare was mentioned.
This got me thinking…
This old story of how the tortoise ended up winning the race against the much faster rabbit. Is that the persistence and perseverance of the tortoise paid off against the speed and slacking off that was done by the rabbit.
It ties in perfectly with marketing.
Every where you look you are bombarded with information. Things like, advertising methods, copywriting, lead generation, amongst hundreds of others.
But where do you start?
For a new person to the internet marketing world, it is tough to take it all in, and find a good place to start.
The story of the tortoise and the hare is a perfect example.
You can’t do it all at once. There is just NO possible way that you can.
So start slow and play off of your strengths…
If you are good at writing, you may want to focus on article and press release marketing or studying copywriting.
The thing that you need to understand is you don’t need to be great at everything, you just need to be great at one thing and just good at the others.
Start slow and be persistent. Don’t expect to “get it” right away. Just keep pushing forward. Get to be great at one thing, and while that is working for you, start adding other pieces of the puzzle slowly.
Do just like the tortoise and move slow and steady and eventually all the pieces will come together for you to win the race.
Don’t ever stop educating yourself and learning, but make sure that you put what you learn into action slowly and in turn you succeed.
Talk to you soon!

Justin,
With all the innovation now, I wonder is there a hybrid?
Maybe a hare-tort or a tort-hare that could give us the jump on things ;D
You are right, even though I would advise anyone against the 'traditional' snail pace conventional method.
Better to some things simultaneously, rather than the step 1,2,3, sequential method.
