What's The Fastest And Easiest Way To Get Prospects

My first thought when I read this questions was: Fastest And Easiest Way To "Get" a Prospect is to club them over the head, drag them into you network marketing business opportunity meeting and steal their credit card...

But that's also the fastest way to jail too... so, assuming you are being ethical in your prospecting and recruiting lets go over the Fastest And Easiest Way to Attract Your Ideal Prospects instead step by step.

Step 1:

Brainstorm all the immediate benefits to your will get from your product or services. In or words know your product. Does it help your ideal prospect live longer, jump farther, cure athletes foot, get longer lashes?

What problem would your prospect be immediately looking to solve when they buy your product? It would be great to start with the solution the product or services provided for you or who you bought it for like a child or parent.

This is an important step because this is how you and everyone else goes shopping on the Internet. As a matter of fact that how we buy every thing. And I'll give you an example...

I have a client who is a health juice representative. The problem the health juice immediately solved for her was Chronic Constipation. She has lived with that problem for over 10 years and had thought she'd tried everything!

Step 2:

Research your suspicions. Use keyword search tools to determine the demand and supply of the "problems" and "solutions" you brainstormed in step 1.

I 'll go back to the example above of chronic constipation... That was a real *juicy* key word. Research revealed that the demand was high and healthy enough to invest time exploring variations and the supply was low. More importantly the other website that were providing information for that keyword left a lot to be desired.

That's good news for if the same is true for the problems your product and service solve.

Step 3:

Choose the media you'd like to deliver your content about your solutions. Having your own website and or blog has many advantages if you're looking to attract prospects online. There are several free and cheap ways you can do this but that's out side the scope of this article.

Once you have a website or blog up pick your media. Do feel comfortable speaking and recording your voice? Are you a natural in front of a camera? Do you prefer to write?

It really doesn't matter which you choose because you can always convert one for into another very easily and re-purpose your content so serve your audience who will learn in different ways. Some prospects will watch your videos, other will down load a speacial report, some will listen to an interview etc.

This particular client was in a financial position to higher a freelancer to turn her audio recording into text files and she delivers pages of articles and a special report about the issues concerning chronic constipation sufferers and the ultimate solution to their problems: her product...duh!

Step 4:

Go where your potential prospects are asking questions and seeking solutions for the problems you can solve with your product/service.

So, I advised my client to look in medical forums and health forums and participate in the conversation/wellness social networks and community forums. Look to see what kinds of questions potential prospects are asking and the quality of the responses they are receiving.

Another great place to check out is ehow.com and answers.yahoo.com.

Start answering questions and posting the valuable content you created that demonstrates to your potential prospect that you know what your talking about because of you are familiar with they problems and the *pain* of looking disparately for solid solutions.

Also don't be afraid to ask questions and start a conversation, discussion or even a group that is focused on helping this particular group of potential prospect.

Ah, yeah... I think that's it...

As long as you follow the above steps your potential prospects will start to take notice of you as a trusted adviser. Once you have that role established in their mind they will follow your links to your recommended product/service.

Regardless of how complicated setting this all up may seem to some people this is the basic formula for the fastest and easiest way to "get" prospects. It's also the way you will notice all the TOP Internet marketing leaders build their businesses now a days.

The point is to become one with your prospect. Discover how they think how they buy what promotes them to buy and present it in a way that they can get to know, like and trust you enough to take your deal.

Now, in the beginning, depending on your time and marketing budget you will choose to do some of these steps yourself or out source it to others who will do it for you.

Please notice I didn't mention to promote the specific name brand of your product or the company that you represent specifically. People rarely use that type of information to make a buying decision. If they wanted a name brand they probaly wouldn't have for you. It's all about your relationships.

Now how long will all this take? It depends on what point you are starting out, your tempement and how quickly you master each step.

THE FASTEST WAY MAY NOT BE THE BEST WAY

For many years in sales on and off line I was taught and believed a philosophy about getting prospects that was very closely related to your four steps approach stated above. 

However after I had struggled with online marketing for seven full years I became able to see what successful online marketers like James Granstaff and Michael Price have been using and earning multiple six figure incomes. 

Subsequently I have changed my philosophy and my approach.. 

The steps through which a person progresses from being an unknown figure on the virtual horizon to being a prospect is as I have been taught go something like this. 

  1. A totally unknown person "Somewhere out there" in cyber space.
  2. A traffic unit (visitor) to our website or landing page.  (Getting the person / traffic to our landing page is another subject of much variety and methodology, not covered in thise treatise).
  3. A registered Guest on our Lead Capture (Squeeze) Page.
  4. A recipient of our free but value imparting gift/good or service.
  5. Reciepient becomes a Quality Lead
  6. The Quality Lead now becomes user of material that supplies them with information for which they have indicated a need or a desire.  They like what they have received and become a prospect who now has desire to know more or receive more information / product / service.
  7. A prospect to whom we introduce our opportunity or product as a solution to a need or desire that they have indicated that they have.
  8. A person who learns to know like and trust us!
  9. A client who enrolls in our opportunity and becomes our business partner and/or a purchaser of our products or services.

Recapitulation

Now To recapitulate and explain what I have endeavored to express above

I suspect that as professional marketers we are concerned about speed and ease of achievement of the objecteve of getting prospects.  But what is more important than Speed and Ease in getting prospects is clients and customers who become purchasers of our goods and services and/or life longtime business partners and friends.  In other words we are seeking Quality prospects / not just prospects.  We are more concerned about the propriety and effectiveness of the process than we are about the speed and ease.  As we are able to perfect the effectiveness of the process we can always increase the volume of prospects by enlarging the scope of the process.  But the process must be proper.

The first thing to consider in this process is the question:  What would a person who would be a good prospect/client/customer/business partner for me be seeking.   Secondly how can I get that unknown person to give me their contact information so that I may correspond with me, so that they may learn how wonderful a person I am and just the right person above all others to put their confidence in and become my client / customer, etc.

Since my primary business model is MLM I am first and foremost seeking persons who are looking for information on how to be successful in being self employed and earning money from using their computer.  Knowing what my customer is seeking gives me opportunity to offer him/her a something of value (eBook, newsletter subscription, free course, etc) in exchange for their contact information.

Once this important first step is achieved then the process is continued by making contact via email, phone autoresponder etc.  Then stept by step we move into a more and more confidential relationship with our cyber space friend until they are married to our opportunity, product, service, and process.  If we have proceeded properly and achieved our ultimate goal we have not only gained a prospect we have earned a friend and confidant.

Your four steps are right on target in my mind and I've been studying these things recently in some books that were admittedly a bit dusty on my bookcase. (yes, real, hardcover books with pages to turn.) I realize I've been going at it the wrong way, trying to recruit recruit recruit or sell sell sell and neglecting the benefits to the other person, forgetting that by ensuring their happiness with the solutions I was offering, my success was automatic.

As a newbie to the internet marketing I followed Building On A Budget page by page. Gee, I did not even know how to post a ad. The whole book was overwelming at first. I just reread and rered it. I put everything in a rollodex and a 3 ring notebook .Get set up  and ready first.

Great article....im loving your work....what a great way for me to ease into a new (and now obvious )way to do MLM....i am new to MLM and do a very mechanical job by trade where social interaction is not the top of the list.....you can imagine that this new industry has been a steep curve for me when your upline is telling you how to prospect the traditional way and it not really working the best for me (besides i want people to be in my business because they have a burning desire for it NOT because i have twisted there arm.....TO HARD!!!)

I am chomping at the bit and am looking forward to hearing about your sources in the near future!!!In the mean time i am interested  in knowing more about the blogging side of things as well.I will read the forum on blogging tips but when you mentioned above about some great sites to go to for cheap/free blogs where do you recommend i go?

 The other comment i want to make and i am probably being a bit cheeky/crude mentioning it...but im not sure in your example above if chronic constipation and "juicy" go in the same sentence...you either have a real wicked sense of humour or it is a typo!!!! Im thinking it is the former and have had a good laugh about it .......
