When You See A Turtle On A Fence Post, You Know He Didn't Get There By Himself

This Network Marketing industry is all about building relationships, mentoring and coaching, learning, good business skills and practices.  No one got to the top alone.

Like the title of my article:  The Turtle On The Fence Post did not Get There By Himself.

If you think you made it to the top all by your self, you are clearly not thinking back to all of the people in your life who have influenced you.

From the time you are born, there are people shaping your life.  Your parents, siblings, grandparents, friends...anyone you come into contact with over your lifetime.

Who shaped your life?  What were the influences...good, bad or otherwise that helped you become the person you are today?

If there have been some expeiences that were bad, did you turn them into something positive or did you let them set the course for the rest of your life?

If you did take the bad and turn it into something good, how did that make you feel?  Did you learn anything from it?

I constantly rely on others to help me shape my future, my business.  I am always learning from others everywhere I go.  If you listen really carefully, there is some lesson to be learned by everything you hear.

What is the old saying?  "God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason...so that you can hear more than you speak."  It is a great concept.

I know I am not the Turtle on the Fence Post because I most certainly did not get there by myself.  I constantly strive to learn at least one new piece of information a day (minimum).

How about you?  Are you someone who relies on and is thankful for all of the lessons you have learned to arrive at where you are today?

Lessons

There is so much to learn from others, Most people think what they know is all they then need to know until they learn something new.  With a team it is very hard to get anywhere in life or business.

Keep the good thought and lessons coming

Never Heard it Put that Way

A great lesson about the turtle.  He just could not have made it up there by himself.

The Story is Importain

Expecially when you have been taught it is up to you.  That is not True.  It TAKES a Villiage to Raise a Professional Network Marketer.  It is only up to you if you are in Direct Sales.

Your Title Made Me Laugh

A great way to illustrate an important point--thanks!  All of us have help as we work to reach our potential...and hopefully we help others along the way, too.

A picture is worth 1000 words ...

... and your title is a wonderful picture. Not only does it tell the whole story, but it's unforgettable.

It also makes me laugh, thinking of some of the things I did when I was a kid ... although I never put a turtle on a fence post.

Dianne, did you put that poor turtle on the fencepost?

That is a great word picture!  The beauty of Network Marketing is that a team can lift each other up, put us there where our minds can see farther, what's on the other side of the fence!  So what seems to be an adverse situation at first is really an opportunity to further expand our awareness.

No, Paul, I did not put that Turtle on the fence post but...

Growing up with four brothers, we always had "critters" around our house.  Snakes, turtles, etc. etc.  I love turtles having grown up around them.

My parents had a large fenced in backyard and we had 8 adults at one time....found them in the desert, brought them home, etc.  So when they started having babies, we put fingernail polish on their backs lettering them with a letter of the alphabet...starting with "A".  At one time, we got all the way to "Z" and started at "AA".....so I love Turtles!

I also love the turtle because he takes the slow and steady course.  That poor little turtle on the fence post did not get their himself and it really does say a lot about each of us as humans....

Thanks!

Dianne
