Where Is Your "Vision Board"?
No doubt many of you who've watched 'The Secret', or followed any personal development training have heard about creating your own "Vision Board". Essentially, this is a motivational/inspirational tool where one puts up a cork board above your work area with a series of magazine clippings or images of your personal wish list: luxury items, vacations, your dream home, an income goal, organizing a long overdue family reunion, etc. However, even before I had my vision board up, I used visualizations in my mind as a motivational tool. And I am not just talking about some airy-fairy or hippy-trippy pipe dream, and nor am suggesting you seek some mystical rainbow of riches, but at the same time know that this stuff really works! (However, in addition to establishing your goals, one also has to take ACTION, preferably "inspired action", to ensure they come true. Merely wishing for something and doing nothing about it will not move it forward!).
To illustrate this, earlier this year and just after I joined my primary network marketing opportunity I was listening to a live training conference call when I was struck by a remarkably clear image or vision of my own future success. Namely, I saw myself up on stage with the two co-founders at a company event and I was receiving an award. Not only could I see this happening down to the last detail, but I also felt the EMOTIONS and FEELINGS associated with being up on stage, shaking hands with my mentors. Well, lo and behold, 8 months later (on October 18) I did indeed receive a Master Marketer Award directly from both co-founders and in front of my peers at a marketing training event in Dallas. Upon sitting down afterwards, I almost broke down and cried both in pride for the achievement, but also because I made it happen and furthermore I SAW it happen before it came to pass! For the record, I am not just imparting this to boast about receiving the award, but instead I am sharing this since it illustrates the power of intention and personal belief. In addition, it no doubt helped earlier affirming my vision by sharing it with both my dad and my wife and it was nice to have that added "proof"!
As Donald Trump says, "Think Big and Kick Ass"! Hence, I am already working on my next "visualization realization" success story and looking for even bigger and greater achievements!
So where is your Vision Board?!

Congratulations!
David,
What a powerful post! Congratulations on achieving your goal in 8 short months - wow! I am a strong believer in Vision Boards, as well. I had not thought of adding a concrete "vision" of an achievement relating directly to steps and levels in my business. Thanks for sharing this! For those who are not familiar, there are great resources on Google to help get you started with your own vision board.
Thanks again!
Kate
I thought it was just me but
I thought it was just me but this is my dream too....Honestly ..... I saw myself up on stage with the two co-founders at a company event and I was receiving an award. Not only could I see this happening down to the last detail, but I also felt the EMOTIONS and FEELINGS associated with being up on stage, shaking hands with my mentors.WOW!!!!
Congrats!!
David,
I have a vision board as well and it is a great source of motivation! I am glad to hear that your dream has manifested in 8 months. I think everyone should have a vision board to help them maintain their focus!
Great Post!

Well done
So glad to hear your story of acheavement via the use of the vision board. I still have mine on the wall just behind the PC as a reminder for the last thing I visulised and manufested which was going on the Bob Proctor Cruise in 2007. It was an awesome feeling and still is. Once again well done my freind.

Your freind for life
Congratulations on your acheivement!
And thanks for sharing the story of it. I have my vision board on the wall beside my desk. I look at it many times each day. And I am working to make my goals happen.
After reading your post, I am going to take one of my goals and do a visualization exercise for myself. I will quiet my mind and then create the experience in my thoughts. I will weave as complete a picture as I can and feel the emotions of doing what I want. And then I will bring that "memory" to mind when I look at my vision board during the day.
Thanks again!
Glad for your success
Hi David
I saw the photos online of you with the company founders and almost couldn't believe it.
Your success is a great model for me to emulate and I am going to redouble my efforts to
get "up there" along with you and the other leaders. Way to go

My Vision Box!
Hi David,
Regarding the Vision board.
I went one better & took a concept I heard on "The Strangest Secret" by Earl Nightingale & made a vision field...a line of vision you see in front of you....sorta like a V going out from me.
I cut out a cardboard "me" & stuck it at the bottom part of the V & drew a face looking over the range of the V.
Then I made a whole bunch of little stand up cards & wrote on them & called them weeds & junk stuff, like "fear, doubt, excuses, interruptions" etc etc .
Then I found my grandson's old matchbox car, a fridge magnet of an English Cottage, a toy soldier in armour, a million dollar note & a small crystal paperweight.
These became my plants I had to tend & care for & keep the weeds out!
The car signified my new convertible silver Astra, the soldier, my Knight in Shining Armour, the $$$, obviously , the English Cottage, my Health Farm & the crystal...crystal clear focus!
Well; amazing things happened within a month, my life circumstances changed dramatically to allow me to pursue an internet marketing career & within 3 months, here I am, in front of the computer, moved house, my existing business is safely on the back burner for the next 12 months or so, I have supportive basic income & have found the "Top Tier" Program & training I could only ever dream of in my wildest dreams!
You are speaking to one happy chappy here David!
Vision boards are great, but I found my Field of Vision, works so well for me.
Every week or so, I throw a bunch of rubbish in the field to signify gathered clutter, then one by one, deliberately weed them out & keep my field nice & clean!
Kindest regards,
Mary
Good Post!
Great job David! Here's to taking "inspired action"!
Harley
you nailed it!
David,
Congratulations. I felt the tingling go through my spine as I read what you wrote. The same happened for me when my business was named Small Business of the Year in the ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute)...it was the first year ever for the small business category. I envisioned every piece of being up there and receiving it! So powerful! And I have used this to get homes...to take a year-long journey across America to engage hearts and minds, create authentic connections and transcend differences that separate us. No matter the situation...it works every time I clearly outline the end result and "feel" the emotions as if it has already happened! Mary...that is a great technique you described...that's a unique approach and I love it!
