Why Testimonials Suck!

Thanks to decades over the top promises and out-and-out lies, marketers are selling products in "The Age of Skepticism.” Today's consumer has gone from skeptical to suspicious ,wanting to know the truth behind ad claims, warranties, brochures, and guarantees whether they're buying a luxury sports car or a can of cola.

Most consumers don’t trust what you’re telling them because they’ve been burned so many times before. They are understandably mistrustful and think of buying and selling as an adversarial relationship where the seller is trying to take advantage of the buyer.  You will need to be proactive in overcoming this natural distrust to successfully make a sale from someone they barely know. You're going to have to tear down walls of fear and skepticism before you can build up a relationships with a consumer). One strategy is to provide factual information in an unbiased way that will allow a consumer to make his/her informed decision. A great way to do this is with information products or a "report." When consumers think you're INFORMING them, they’ll respect you and thank you for your openness and honesty by purchasing from you. Nothing sounds more authoritative than third-party facts and figures and quotes from trusted authorities like these ·         Government agencies·         Noted authorities·         Editors of industry trade magazines·         Research groups ·         Celebrities ·         Satisfied customers Are you wondering why a satisfied customer ranks as a trusted authority? Like celebrities who are trusted because of their fame rather than their expertise, your satisfied customers have "been there and done that." Their experience qualifies them as authorities.  The best businesses are the ones that have stood the test of time a good 10 years or better and that offer alot of money for the guys who just came aboard. You will see that if they make money from their first few customers it's proof enough that their business can go somwhere. Another biggie is the company being solid enough for 3rd party testing, that's proof enough that they carry integrity and poise in the marketplace. I have only found 2 a start-up which still has to break it's way through the proving grounds of experience and a company that I proudly stand with and have created a 5 figure income from.

Very interesting

Hello Ray

Very interesting information regarding the trust topics that business owners face today when dealing with prospects and how you explained the strategy of providing factual information in an unbiased way.

I agree with your opinions on established businesses that are both experienced and successful - It would be great of you could share your experience working with your 5 figure income and how you accomplished that - keep up the great work!

Great Question Mitchell

I have tried several opportunities like most of us had. What really changed was my integrity. I don't like to throw around the word belief so much because of the abuse it has taken in the industry and people who barely knew their own business pretty much threw that word around without ever giving it the respect that it deserves. I had to learn to build belief as well as a leadership mindset. I spent alot of money learning myself.  Most of my business however has been built offline because I am still getting my mind around the online concept.  But I have been able to offer people realtime training online and off.

One of my teachers by the name of Bob Proctor had taught me that if you have a goal the "HOW" does not matter.  I was a bit miffed about that statement because I always thought that if you knew how you could do anything.  But we all know "HOW" to do a lot of things. Take weight for example we all know how to lose weight, but we are the fatest country in the world.  We all know "HOW" to save money but we have the greatest debt in our generation.

But when I was taught "HOW" to THINK that is when my business changed, my relationships changed, the way I sponsored people changed, just about everything changed and it will change for anyone who learns "HOW' to THINK.

But to answer your question, pick up a copy of BBR and Magnetc Sponsoring eat it everyday and you will begin to SEE "HOW".
