Why You’re Not Making Money Using MySpace 

Let me guess, you were reading a short blog, a compelling sales article or connecting with new friends in a working-mom mlm group on Yahoo and found out that MySpace was the best place to find prospects that would chase after you and your new business.  You always assumed that MySpace was for yappy teenagers to meet and gossip with their friends.  So I’m sure you went to MySpace.com, fired up a profile and waited.  No response.  So you knew that you needed to draw people to your profile and someone told you to go to www.AddNewFriendsNow.com to get the FriendBlaster and that’s exactly what you do.  You started sending out 200 friend requests a day.  Yeah, you made some friends, but no one was chasing you or even questioning you about your amazing business opportunity…right?   

Well, I have good news and bad news for you.  I’ll give you the bad news first.  You’re still missing a few key things to add to your page OR there are some things that you need to remove.  As my team began to grow very large with cash gifting, I started becoming a “professional MySpace reviewer for my team.  I started to find the same mistakes over and over again on their MySpace pages.  So now I want to share these mistakes with you because some or all of these advices may be preventing you from finding quality prospects and making a lot of money on MySpace.

1.       STOP BEING A SALESPERSON ON YOUR PROFILE. 

-          This, my friend, is the biggest turnoff, especially when you had just sent them a nice “Just stopping by.  Check me out and add me as a friend” message. 

-          Use My Story Marketing.  Tell your story and then share with your new friend the solution to your problem…YOUR OPPORTUNITY!  (If you would like to see an example, go to www.MySpace.com/mmross1.) 

2.       YOUR FONT IS WAY TOO SMALL 

-          Trust me, no one is going to go out of their way to read your About Me section if the font is to squished up and small.  Use MySpace’s Profile Editor to change the font to at least 15. 

-          Use HTML coding to add highlighting, boldness and to italicize.  (Use the Manage Blog section to get coding for these.) 

-          Place this code <br /><br /> between paragraphs for easy reading.   

3.       YOUR PROFILE MAY HAVE TOO MANY DISTRACTIONS 

-          Many people will disagree with me on this one, but take out the music, especially one that is commonly loved.  It will deter people from reading your About Me page because they’re so intertwined with your song.  Guess what, as soon as the song goes off, they go off your page. 

-          Use a solid, light background.  If your background is too busy with beautiful rainbows, bridges and sunsets, it can distract your prospect from reading more about you.  Remember you are the star.  All eyes and interests should be on you!

MySpace can be an amazing way to generate so many leads that you will never have to purchase another leads list again.  Review your profile and then ask yourself, “Would I join my team, based off of what I see?”  I hope this helps!
