Work Life Balance Tips For Home Based Business Owners
Work life balance is commonly talked about today, studied at universities world wide and increasingly offered to employees, knowing just how to achieve the best balance is difficult especially if you are the owner operator of a home based business. These 3 simple steps will ensure you make the most of your work life balance.
Enjoy life time
Make sure you still switch off from work when it's "HOME" time (that’s anytime outside of your set working hours) especially if you have a family. One of the reasons many of us start an online business is to work from home and be with our family, remember that now and forever!
Take regular breaks
I like the commonly used 50/10 ratio, 50 minutes of work and then a 10 minute break, some days I find it more productive to do 100/20, 100 minutes of work and then a 20 minute break. Hey, 20 minutes is long enough for a power nap!
Breath fresh air
Get outside as often as you can, why not have that power nap while gently swinging in your king size hammock… exercising outdoors is a great idea too!
A great work life balance is a priceless asset to any life any business. Take the time to enjoy your daily opportunity to:
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast with your family
- Attend school performances and sports carnivals
- Take your kids to school each day
- Share each milestone with your family
- Choose which skills you learn each day
- Work with like minded peopled
- Control your own success
- Help others realize their own opportunities

Doing it right
I very much agree with you on this one.
I wanted to be able to get away from working so many hour. If I do not pay attention I sometimes end up working even more than that. Make a plan for the day and stick to it.
Do the things that you old job would not allow you to do. Walk away from your business and go for a walk and enjoy it. Then go back and get more done. You might find that you can actually get more done because you have a chance to clear your mind for a little while.
