Working for Money is a Waste of Time!
Working for Money is a Waste of Time! - Personal Development - Leadership
The mistake a many individuals make is finding an opportunity to make money and then work at that opportunity. Wrong!
One needs to first find out what his or her passion is. Then and only then should you seek an opportunity to match that passion. If you're just working for money just for the sake of working for money then you won't last very long in an MLM or any other opportunity.
As a physician, I chose a solid Network Marketing opportunity in Health and Wellness. It is a natural passion and a natural fit. I can talk about my products and services with ease. This opportunity fits into my other endeavors with the chief objective to Help People! I see some individuals in my company that know nothing about the products and all they want to do is sponsor, sponsor, sponsor.
Ok, now that you have sponsored all these individuals, how do you motivate them to stay past 30 days if all you have to offer is "here's how you show the plan to make money". Then they bug family, friends and a few strangers without success and drop out. The problem is that these individuals had no passion or real plan.
I recently had someone ask about joining my opportunity. I have not called them back. That person was just money hungry and did have a desire to learn about the products or help people. I also know he is not consistent with the things to which he commits. I'm not looking for warm bodies. I'm looking for diamonds in the rough or diamonds who have been polished. In other words, future leaders to which others will be attracted.
My goal in my business life is to build a solid business with the right leaders. Yes, my desire is to make money, but I need people who share my desire to positively impact the lives of others. There is no feeling in the world superior to that which you get after positively enhancing the life of others.
If you don't know what your passions or talents are, DO find out. Churches (if you attend) usually have these tools and offer them for FREE. There are many books and evaluation tools on the market. So, before you jump into an opportunity, find out. You can also go the personal development section of your favorite online or offline bookstore to purchase such books or tools. If you are on the road to becoming a strong leader, you should already have such a bookstore resource. If you don't, you must find these resources. Knowledge is key! Then you must unlock the door with effective Planning and Action!
My passion is helping people and I make money from it. Now, does this sound like I'm working just for money. I am living my passion and getting paid for it.
More to come,
