"You had me at "HELLO"...

How many times have you signed up for something and checked the little box that says you agree before they let you click that last button to proceed?

In MLM / Network Marketing, that box you check usually says something like this, "I have read, understand and agree to the Terms of Agreement, the Policies and Procedures, and the Compensation Plan."

Big Mistake!

You just agreed to all that companies ideas on how to run thier company...and you don't even know what they are!

What have you just done?

....it's only your contract.

They could've included a statement saying they've implemented a policy that ensures that they  will start charging an extra fee for every month  you don't reach a certian quota in sales or recruiting!

If you were buying a business that cost you thousands of dollars, would you read the contract or maybe have an attorney read it? Of course you would. But you get into your little business for very little money so it isn't necessary. Really? So you don't expect to ever make the big incomes then? Right?

They saw you coming!

Because of thieir "flashy" and "informative" website, (they know) you are not likely going to read anything...either take too long, or it's just a bunch of "legal talk" you wouldn't understand unless you had a lawer present anyway.

Hope this helps!

Look before you leap

You make some good points Logan.  Before you jump into any kind of a contract you should check it out to make sure you know what you're getting into.

Have you read the Policies and Procedures?  Do you know the Terms and Conditions?  It's all part of your  contract.

Never, ever, ever sign a contract when you're all pumped up on hype.  If it's a good deal today, it'll be a good deal tommorrow, or a good deal next week, next month, or next year.

Getting in "right now" while it's HOT is never a good idea, because you may find your COLD cash is very, very GONE.

Thanks!

I was thinking about this when I was practicing the "5 Pillars" yesterday on a few "offers" I've recently heard about on the forum. It's amazing how important information is able to "slip" by if you don't pay attention to what your doing!
