You're All a Bunch of Lemmings!!!
Do you have the Lemmings Syndrome? What?? You’ve never heard of the Lemming Syndrome!?!? Good! I made it up a few minutes ago, and I’d hate for my good idea to have already been thought up by someone a little more intelligent than I am. If you don’t know what a lemming, well let me tell you. Webster defines a lemming as any of various small short-tailed furry-footed rodents (as genera Lemmus and Dicrostonyx) of circumpolar distribution that are notable for population fluctuations and recurrent mass migrations, and unless you’re playing Jeopardy, that doesn’t mean anything to you. OK, let me see if I can explain. A few years back there was a video game called Lemmings. In that game, you had a bunch of MINDLESS (this word is important) green rat looking things that followed the leader, or other lemmings, and the object was to get them to a certain goal, without them all dying. The only problem was that no matter where one Lemming went, the others followed suit, even if they all jumped off a cliff. This is where the Lemmings Syndrome comes in. In network marketing, business, and life in general, we tend to follow trends and patterns, just because others have done the same thing before us, even if those trends and patterns don’t work. You see this all the time! In fact, when was the last time you heard someone say “well, they did the same thing,” just to have the other person ask “well, if they jumped off a cliff, would you?” If the answer is yes, they are a lemming! In network marketing, we do the same thing. The whole business is full of people who don’t know what they’re doing, they get people in their downline, they end up not knowing what they’re doing, and so on and so forth. They do the same “infiltrate your family and friends, make sure you pressure them real good, to the point of where they don’t invite you for Thanksgiving anymore” thing that the others have taught them, without thinking about it. Let me ask you something: have you ever done something in this business, where inside of you it says “man, I just don’t feel right doing this.” That’s because you were created as an original. What may be successful for this guy to present the product, or opportunity, may not be so successful if you. You were created differently, so play to that difference. Be genuine. For instance, at the bottom of some of my writings, you’ll see a link sending you to a page for a biscuit recipe which is totally out of the status quo in Better Networker. Why? That’s the way I am. I’m part goofball, part chef, but I love serving people (and, truthfully, there are some garbage biscuit recipes out there). You see a lot of people out there talking about your color and how you operate. If I were you, I’d go check those people out. In fact, this is a free eBook that you can get, to tell you about these things. And, oh by the way, I’m not affiliated with the writers of this eBook. I just know that it’s been changing the way I look at things, and I wanted to share that with all of you as well. I hope this helped you out a little, but if you got nothing out of this, at least you got a great recipe for biscuits. At Your Service,Paul Schmitz

Lemmings
Hi Paul!
Do the same old things, and get the same old results.
Need to follow or model people that are actually being success in life.
Watch, listen, duplicate what they are doing. As best as you can.
We have patterns that we never seem to give up as Marketers.
We need people that are they for you. Truly there for you.
Best,
Dan
Thanks for the scuits recipe Paul!
Now if I can figure out a way to make them without the crisco, (axle grease) any ideas?
Paul
Biscuits and Good Sense
Hey as a former--well more or less as I can't seem to give it up entirely--chef I so appreciate the biscuit recipe. I've never made them as well as my old neighbor when I lived in the mountains in North Carolina for one summer, she used no recipe, but I'll try your recipe for sure. Nothing like a good biscuit.
I totally get and hate that lemming behavior, far too much of it in the world.
Still deciding which program to buy to learn more about lead gen but will consider Mike's again.
Cheers,
Gregory Anne

Dan, it's so true that we need to be there for one another. People who don't train others correctly will never maximize their outcome or income. Network Marketing isn't just about making big gobs of money, but creating relationships. You never know when you need someone to do something you can't do.
Paul., I use to use Mobil 5000 mile oil, but it made them a little runny, and taste like mechanic's shop coffee.
Gregory Anne, I hope you enjoy them. It took me a few tries and some experimenting to make them because I LOVE Red Lobsters Cheddar Biscuits. As for the lemmings, the best thing is to be yourself. That's just not a networking tip, but a tip in life also. God made us look different, so what makes us think He didn't make us to have different types of personalities too. Oh, and if you go to that link, that stuff is 100% free. You may want to buy a CD, but I haven't gotten it yet. It's really good stuff.
