Call a Whambulance!
Do you ever find yourself fretting over your circumstances in life? It’s extremely rare to find successful people who whine, complain or fret about their circumstances. Often the successful person has even overcome great obstacles to get to their level of success.
On the other hand it’s often true that struggling individuals blame their circumstances, their parents, their job, their neighbors or even their dog for their lack of joy and abundance.
Your circumstances or situation in life are what they are. If you are 50 years old and a middle child, you are still going to be a middle child when you are 95, if you live that long. If you are black, white, man, woman, an only child, abused or neglected, without parents, or adopted……..these facts can’t change.
If you were unable to get further schooling, had to marry young, lost a child, or are from the wrong side of the tracks…these are the past. It’s time to stop letting the past control your life and move on.
Life becomes a lot easier and more fun when you make the decision to stop the complaining. It is so self-focusing and makes you feel sad, angry, victimized, suspicious and frustrated. The more you focus on seemingly unfavorable circumstance, the more you notice negative things and it becomes bigger than necessary. If you push complaining out of the way, you may find a greater ability for creativity in your life. You will be able to be more focused to the present, even beginning to see a solution.
A simple decision to stop yourself from succumbing to the complaining is all it takes. Easy? Not necessarily. Habits can be hard to break. Initially, you might be rather surprised to observe how much you do complain. It can be a real eye opener, but well worth the effort. When you find those whining or negative thoughts entering your mind, quickly recognize them and tell them they are no longer welcome in your house.
It is very freeing and you will quite likely enjoy this new viewpoint of life without complaining and whining. Change the whining into winning…….A winning attitude that leads to success.
Note:
In the movie “Kid” with Bruce Willis (2000), he struggles as an adult because of the things that happened to him as a kid. It’s a movie worth watching with a real life lesson. Bruce uses the phrase “call a whambulance”, when relating to his own self as a kid.
It seems like my recent blogging and articles have centered around how we handle life circumstances. My writings are motivation first for me to keep my attitude right as I go through unexpected situations in my life. If it helps anyone else keep a positive attitude then that is an added blessing.
Enjoy your day,

Thanks Lynn,
I can picture the victim strapped down on a gurney, and whining and complaining as they are loaded into the Wahhh mbulance! Instead of a siren, you here them screaming as they drive off toward the House pit all.
