Look Before You Leap

Being involved with a Juice company has always kept my eye open at the competition. When I first started with Youth Juice I cautiously started the business because of all the juices that were already out there. Now that I am well on my way to financial freedom I have seen quite few more juices come to life on the market. As with every product that's out there eventually, if not already, the market will be saturated. Even the lead generation and attraction marketing systems have quickly spawned into mutiples. Which one works? which is the best? At that point it's a matter of doing your homework and finding the best product out there and this goes for all products. Here are a few things I have found, discovered and concluded to while being a betterNetworker member. Unfortunately I think most the people that may read this will already have signed up with some company. Did you do your research? As a new juice comes out the first 4 things I look for is:

  1. What are the ingredients?
  2. What is the nutritional value?
  3. Is it foreign? meaning are the ingredients from a foreign country that could possible cause issues for quality control? Is import/exporting involved?
  4. Science Reports, was the product made before or after documented reports? (If there even is any...?)

1. Ingredients: As stated in a previous blog, I always find it funny/crazy that companies find a magical fruit from some magical land far or deep in the jungle that has magical heeling powers. Really? are you serious? If you ever see a statement where they have found a fruit used by an ancient tribe or magicl fruit or deep in the jungle or undisturbed lands. Then I call Bull Shi*. Yes these fruits are most likely good for you. I don't dispute that but I think they are no better than what we already have in our native lands. Another thing to look for is did they add water? If they did why? shouldn't the juices from these fruits provide enough fluids? Some juices have upto 15+ juices yet they add water?......baffling. Does your juice say this: "Proprietary blend(s)" What does that mean? I could say this and you can't disagree cause you just don't know, it's proprietary. So and so juice company X may add water with some cool aid and maybe some vitamin C in powered form along with some other juices that were purchased at the grocery store and shazaaam, our "proprietary blend". A few drops of 15+ different juices and technically they can say it's there.....oh and of course, the water is reversed triple bypassed purified x 10 filtered. I want to know exactly what's in the bottle, extracts, whole berries, juice flavors, other things such as xanthum gum, sugar, flavors....etc.

2. Nutritional Values: I can't believe that these companies come out with a juice with a great website, lot's of hype they mention lot's of different fruits and whatever but all of sudden there nutritional values are.......next to nothing. Check out my collection of juice labels. It's interesting to see what they actually give you for information and what the nutritional value is worth. I'm always captivated by videos and promotions and advertising with all these success stories of nutritionists claiming all these miraculous health benefits but yet, the label sais nothing more than a carton of Five Alive.

3. Foriegn: foods are great don't get me wrong. I just watched a video on one product where the main fruit they use is found in only one secluded area in another country.....ok that's fine and all but what happens if let's say the forest it's in catches on fire, is the company dead? Or how about importing and exporting those fruits? The possibility of damaging those fruits and the fruits losing their nutritional worth are at stake. All in all is the quality control there?

4. Science Reports: For me personally this is a deal breaker right here. All juice companies have some sort of nutrionist or perhaps even a medical doctor claiming the health benefits. Now me being skeptical my first thought is always, how much did they pay that doctor? I said the same thing for my current company Youth Juice. So of course I must dig deeper, who did the research, what was the research on? I have found many companies that even link science reports done on that particular fruit when in fact the fruit isn't even in the bottle. Watch this shocking video where one company basically get's the smack down. Just because they say the fruit is present and they have a science report on that fruit, which sometimes is not even related to the company, doesn't mean the nutritional value of that fruit is in the bottle, hence the example of adding some drops of juice and then claiming the fruit is there. I've also seen some companies come out with an amazing explosive new drink where the science is at the molecular level but yet.....they haven't even tested it. I conversed with one fellow friend on this network that told me all the health benefits of his new drink and when I asked for the science report he told me there weren't any.......what? It was actually going to be tested by some Universities in the next few months to get some info on their drink. So what your saying is you created a drink without actually knowing the health benefits to it, they are assuming it's great......but what if it's not? What if it's no different than once again, Five Alive. If the product is released and the report is worthless would the company pay millions to cover it up and pretend it's amazing just like the previous shocking video? or perhaps it is somewhat beneficial......either way I won't go near that one!!! Kinda seems like an episode of CSI where they have to take it to the labs an actually examine the ingredients to see what's there. All in all, based on the actual ingredients of the juice and what's there, what does the science report have to say on what's in the bottle not about the fruit in general.

This is one reason why Youth Juice has convinced me over and over. You can't get a better organization than AgriFood Canada which is Canada's top food research center, the Government of Canada and B.C. Agriculture all teaming up to study and examine the health benefits of what's in a bottle of NOW known as Youth Juice (created after the studies). No added water, it's basically 3 pounds of fruits and sea vegetables pureed and put into the bottle. Each ingredient was specifically selected for a reason. For example, some people comment that there's no calcium in it. Well based on statistics we intake enough calcium daily, but we don't get the calcium we need because we don't have enough Vitamin D and K which are the vitamins that get's our body to abosb the calcium. Each berriy and sea vegetable has a specific purpose which is why it truly is science in a bottle.

Does your juice have whole berries in it? or just juice extracts with added water? I hope this helps people out there. Join my YJ team today while the time to get in is now and watch our downline grow.

Youth Juice

Advice: Please proof read your copy before printing. Too many typographical errors and misspellings do not make you look like a professional.

I am also a member of a company that has a "juice" as its primary product. It does not contain any artificial colors, sweeteners, sugars or preservatives. It is packaged in environmentally-friendly bottles. The shelf-life before opening it is 2 years. The compensation plan rewards the part-timer as well as the experienced networker. Check it out for yourself.

Sincerely,
Chris Tryon

Youth Juice

What health benefits have either of you had, or know of someone whose health was dramatically improved with your products? I"d be interested to know.

You got me...... ;-)

Thanks for your replies.
Chris, you are right.....I am not a professional grammar guru, I'll come right out and say that. I'm actually quite terrible at it. My mother is an english teacher and it was my worst subject in high school.....go figure. I am a programmer so writing in spurts and incoherent sentences is normal in my world ;-) This is something I do part time along with my wife, as our network continues to grow it will eventually be full time. YJ is also packaged in environmently-friendly bottles with a shelf life of 2 years as well.
I'm not saying your product is nutrition-less or terrible or anything. All I'm trying to point out with any product is what's in the bottle? Juice extracts or whole berries? which do you benefit more from? is there a science report to back up your product? Who did the science report? Or is it just another bunch of MLM guru's hiring doctors and trying to cash in on the juice market? Is each ingredient broken down, analyzed and studied for what the health benefits are? I quickly breezed through your site and could not find any studies or reports on the Mandura drink. I did find some links and reiterated blurbs on the fruits but that doesn't mean they were studies on the actual contents of Mandura. Does that make sense?
Like I mentioned before any juice that has the word "proprietary blend" or juice extracts added or water added to me doesn't seem any different than your regular bottle of juice from the store. Youth Juice has specifically chosen, for nutritional reasons, 3 pounds of sea vegetables and 7 whole berries all pureed and put into the bottle. There is no need to add water!
Btw, you should look at the FAQ's on the YJ site for the ORAC score.

To sum it all up when I looked into different juices, before I started YJ, I wanted to know which was the best product out there. Will my juice get trumped by another.....? Maybe not now but perhaps 5 years later it could and that's the nature of the business. If someone brings one of your customers a bottle of YJ would they switch? I'm already seeing people switch to YJ from juice X. These are questions I asked myself before I got involved with it. The fact that Canada's biggest food research center, AgriFood Canada, B.C. Agriculture and the Government were involved with Youth Juice has a pretty reputable background and foundation.

I have found that 99% of people on this site stick to their product so I don't expect you to switch but I will throw out the comment that it's new and it's getting a lot of hype. My downline is growing fast and if you want a network to build itself quickly then now is the time. Be one of the first YJ reps in your city and watch your network grow.

Take Care,

David.

Health Benefits

Hi Dave,

Thanks for you question. The first week after we had decided to do the business we gave out bottles to friends and family. A girl at our church had to come home early from the University of Alberta due to Chrone's Disease. Since then she's been at home for 6 months laying in bed with no energy to do anything. At the time we were new and a little shy but we gave her a bottle of YJ and said try it out. The following Sunday her mother came up to us in tears and we immediately thought "oh crap something not good has happened". Well she thanked us, she said her daughter for the first time has had enough energy to get up and go to her student ward church. It hasn't cured her Chrone's issues by all means but it has definitely helped and made a difference in her life. We have had some really weird and cool experiences with YJ from people we never would have expected to hear from. All in all it's a supplement that fills the nutritional gaps in our diet. Everyone is different and everyone usually lacks something. It's a functional food which the body can absorb in it's most natural form. It's easy to take and of course it tastes great........it taste just like berries ;-)
