10 Traits of a True Leader

1. A leader doesn't have to call himself a leader to be one.  Even the most humble of people effectively inspire others to action.

2. A leader is an ordinary person with an extraordinary vision.  A leader promptly dismisses any words, thoughts or actions that don't properly align with who he believes himself to be.

3. A leader realizes that his beliefs are only beliefs, not necessarily facts.  He shares his positive beliefs with others, while remaining open to new opinions and experiences that may help him grow even further.

4. A leader does not resent the success of others, but rather encourages the best in everyone, even if it surpasses knowledge or wealth beyond what
he, himself possesses.

5. A leader will take risks.  He will take advantage of opportunities knowing that even if he fails, failure puts him that much closer to success.

6. A leader works to surround himself with positive influence, and learns to refrain from blaming other people or circumstances for his disappointments.

7. A leader isn't greedy.  He shares what he has with those who are making efforts to help themselves.

8. A leader doesn't spend his days waiting at the dock for his ship to come in.  He works to create effective ways to become the captain of his own
ship.

9. A leader realizes that there is not a limited supply of love, money or wisdom.  He also realizes that one must learn how to properly manage an
overflow of abundance before one can truly receive that gift.

10. A leader is conscious of his personal growth in all areas, not just wealth.  He watches, listens and learns ways to become a better person today than he was yesterday, and to share those experiences as often as possible in an attempt to make positive changes in the world.
