Quitting your goals is like having a winning lottery ticket but cutting it up the day before it's announced

It is true. Usually when we give up it is right when everything we have been working on is about to manifest. Why do we give up? Because we start believing that what is right in front of us is the present when actually, it is the leftovers from a decision that we made in the past.

Today, I consisdered quitting......for about 2 seconds. I allowed an issue that will be laughable to me in the very near future to doubt myself, my abilities and my dreams. Fortunetely, I have a system in place when I feel that way. I start thinking of the things that I am grateful for. I look at my dream board and ask myself one question: AM I WORTH IT? Then I answer: YES I AM!!

I did not work out today because it is a rest day for me. I am having a great Mother's Day and it actually made the point I was trying to make earlier...... I looked at my children proudly, so thankful for their existence and what they have brought to my life, so grateful for being choosen to be their mom. I remembered the circumstances behind becoming mother. At the tender age of 19 years old and unmarried, I could not concieve why people were so worried about my future, so convinced that it was doomed. My goals were to continue school and never stop looking and learning about an opportunity to work for myself because when it came to long term goals....it was, in my mind, the only way.

And I did continue, graduated from college the same year my classmates did. I involved myself in many entrepeneurial opportunites and learn from the best. My son? Just shy of being a teenager, straight A student, kind, financially educated...and just a good kid. So, what if I believed that when I was that young mother that I could not accomplish my dreams based on the fact of what things LOOKED like at that moment? What kind of affect would that have had on my child rearing experience?
