Writing a Personal Mission Statement- Do you have one?

Writing a personal mission is crucial for any home business builder. It sets down your core value and beliefs.

I have been reading and listening a lot to the "7 Habits of Highly Successful People." And every time I listen to this on audio I always say to myself. "Gee I really need to write my personal mission statement. But where do I begin?"

Well first I needed to write something down. But when you write something down doesn't that make it real. (shudder) So I procrastinated and procrastinated and procastinated... and it still isn't done, or even started.

So I began to think, I need to start some place or I will end up no place.. (well duh, is what you are thinking)

I decided to google. So I type in "writing misson statements" and was given tons of information. None was very useful until I got to the bottom of the page. There it listed other searches and low and behold... "personal mission statement" was listed. Well that looked interesting.

It directed me to Franklin Covey. I would recommend checking out this web site. It askes you questions and helps you build your personal mission statement. I think you will find out a lot about yourself.

Part of my mission statement that I will share with you is this...

I will strive to incorporate the following attributes into my life: Perserverance, Compassion, and Forgiveness.
