Don't Stop Marketing Your Products During Recession.
On the contrary, you should be advertising even more.
During the Great Depression cereal-maker Post cut its advertising budget while Kellogg's did not. Guess whose cornflakes more people eat today? Cutting corners in the wrong places can be deadly for your business.
Don't skimp on Customer Service either or you'll lose your customers. Treat your customers right and meet their needs and they will stay with you even if they can get a better price elsewhere. In these hard times everyone is pinching pennies, but if you offer great service and your customers feel that you are appreciative and value their business they'll return to you again and again.
When was the last time you send a "Thank You" note to your customers? How do you think your customers will feel when they hold a real greeting card in their hand instead of some advertisement? Be different. Stand out from the clutter.
Appreciation wins over self-promotion every single time.

Recession Marketing
I have been working with a former employer of mine for quite some time trying to get him to up his advertising budget. He keeps telling me business is too slow to do so. Hmmm, wonder why his business hasn't picked up. Could it be...Naahhh. couldn't be that.
YES, it definitely could
YES, it definitely could be!!! Some people are either just too cheap or ignorant. It's a crying shame!
Thanks for your comment Chris! Very much appreciated!
