Network Marketing is similar to Dating

Cassie Storm posted a video on how prospecting was like dating.  I decided to write a blog about it.  I have been thinking about the idea of networking related to dating for 6 months now. 

Two years ago I was ready to start dating again.  Then I became severely debilitated by (WNV) West Nile Virus.   That is how I found internet marketing because I rarely left the house.  As I started to get my life back by adapting to a new lifestyle I was ready to get out and socialize again.  At the same time I realized I really wanted to be working for myself to create residual income so when I was sick I still got paid.  

 I thought about how dating and growing my business was similar.  I had read an article about a woman in CA that dated 100 men.  Most were first dates and a few were second dates until she found someone to share life with.  During this time she learned how to better communicate, socialize, and know when it is not right early on.  I wanted to focus on growing my business and thought of how network marketing is about applying this principle. 

 My health has recently been more stable so I plan on dating for my network marketing business.  Meaning interviewing people I meet to see if we match for business.  In the process I should learn more about communication, relationships, and business on these social sites.
