Look At The Bottom Of The Building...That Is Where The Magic Is!

Looking at the skyline of the closest city to you is for sure like mine. I love driving into the city and seeing all the great buildings rising high above. To compare the different architecture styles and colors of the buildings. To look at the age of the older buildings and imagine them first being built. What it would have taken 100 years ago to build some of the fine works of art that dot the skyline in Portland.

It is fascinating to me to think about how much time, effort and money it takes to erect a 40 story building or higher. Amazing! What most people don't think about or even consider at all is what lies beneath the street level. This is what makes a building a great structure is its ability to stand during the strongest winds, rains, freezes and ground shakes. It is the FOUNDATION that makes all the difference. Without a solid well constructed foundation it is just a matter of time before the building comes tumbling down.

Since this is a business blog I hope you see the analogy. When we first consider starting a business we think of the money we will make, the people we will have in our group, the team we will build and the leader we will become that others will look up to. We envision all these things with great belief and desire. But, how well is your foundation built? Is your foundation in sales, marketing, leadership development and copy writing top notch? In most cases not but we still expect our building to go up and stand strong. Sounds crazy when you think about it huh?

Don't make the mistakes that so many people in this industry make. They forget the most important part of this industry which is training and improving on your skill sets and mastering the most important ones that build strong foundations. Anyone can build a cheap easy building fast but it means it will come down even faster. Get the best information on attracting the right people and developing your business skills from the start. Your foundation will be solid and your building will last a lifetime.
