Stress and Migraine


Migraine.

 What is it? Most people who hear about fear the thought of getting it.

Those who have it have really a difficult time to cope with the attacks.

In the Oxford Dictionary it is described as “Recurrent paroxysmal headache, often with nausea and disturbance of vision.”

So, if you have these symptoms, you have migraine.

In the Langenscheidt Universal Dictionary it is described as “sick-headache”. Short and sweet.

 Migraine can have various causes. Stress is the one cause mostly tipped on and spoken about and where one becomes the most advice to slow down, have a massage, a wellness-weekend, do not work so hard, go to bed early. And this is all true, actually should be, I would even say, a part of our daily lives with or without migraine. The working situation is often a place where stress is experienced and often ends up with migraine. Overburdening, not finding solutions, financial needs, mobbing, lack of staff, overtime can all be the trigger to set of migraine.

 I am no doctor, no nurse and am just using books that have come into my hands. It seems very logical to me.

                               The actual cause of Migraine are poison substance in our bodies.

                                                                Or if you like, Toxins.

  Again, the Oxford Dictionary: “..poison secreted by micro-organism and causing particular disease.”

Sicknesses should be healed by the body itself. If not, something is wrong. Poisons are disturbing the healing process.

 We so easily forget that we may be poisoning ourselves. Actually we are.

That is no joke.

                                      We just do not think about it enough.

 Some things are clear to us, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, yes, we would agree, even medication.

 The problem lies in the fact that we do not think enough about what we are doing to our bodies.

 I have just had a tooth implanted. On asking my dentist why it came this far as my teeth are in a good condition and why no x-rays were made as prevention, he answered that we are all aware that too many x-rays cause problems. So true, and we therefore are careful. The funny thing is that since I had the first visit as regard the implantation (December) until May I have had three x-rays. More concentrated due, of course, to the shorter period of time.

We are all aware that these methods cause cancer.

 Strangely enough, though, no one really gives advice as to what to do AFTER or DURING such treatment. Just leave the damage to grow into some illness?

 Reminds me a little of pregnancies, or births. We know that the mother gives all the nutrition the baby needs….but little schooling is given as to how to compensate for the loss.

O.K. My “babies” are all big now, so due to progress this may be done today. So, I do not want to be negative, I just want to come back to thought...

                                                  we must think for ourselves. It is really important.

 To help thoughts on the way let us take again the problem of Migraine. Further, brought out in the book “Fit for Life” written by the Diamonds, it mentions that consuming milk products also causes Migraine.

Wandmaker in his book “Forget the Cooking Pot” brings Migraine under the hat of Allergy, often caused to a reaction to certain foods.

 Actually, where they are mostly all going is to get us to think. Think about what we are eating, think about the health problems we have and start to do something about it and not wait until we need a doctor.

 At the time I became high blood pressure, I thought there must be a way to conquer this.  This problem started through my reaction to an employment situation. Was the situation to blame, or was my body not capable of handling the situation.

My doctor put me on medication. The first thing that happened was that I added 12 kilograms to my weight. A side effect of one of the tablets I took. This gave me the desire to get an answer to the problem.

Sport?  For sure.

Change your diet? For sure.That we all know. But do we know that somewhere in the body there are toxins. This I did not know, and if I did, how do I get rid of them.

Illnesses are caused due to the toxins in our body. We are poisoned. If through dairy products, cooking our food, alcohol, smoking, the world around us, we are poisoned.

 Wandmaker suggests eating raw.

Another suggests just eating certain things.

The answer lies in what we nourish ourselves with.

 This could take on a long, long discussion, I know.

Let me share what I experienced.

Sport and changing my diet (leaving off sweet-stuff, too much bread, less meat etc.) did not bring the answer I wanted.

 This was it:

There is only one reason for your health problem: poisoning your body.

There is only one way to heal your body, get rid of the poisons.

 So, if you have migraine, before you start taking too much medication (which is again, poisoning), get rid of the poisons you have at the moment.

If your body was in order, even if you are under stress, either you are not supporting it rightly with its nutritional needs (sometimes in stress we either eat too much or too little) or, you are not nourishing your body. Yes, you may be eating, but nothing really nourishing.

 Get down to it and start finding out what one should be eating - especially when we are working, wherever!

If I had known what I know today, I would never have allowed certain things on the table.

Fortunately we are a family that loves salads and fruit….but it is also mixed with the “tasty” things offered everyday.

Thought about bread?

Thought about cooked potatoes or rice?

Thought about dairy products?

Thought about, well, I think fast foods are already questioned.

Thought about coffee, black tea, even green tea?

 Somewhere, something in the chain of your nutrition is not in the right place.

 These are just a few thoughts. Get down to it. There is so much information on the internet.

If we do not do something about it, we are to blame. Do not fall into the trap of just handling the symptoms, get down to the core, the root, to the actual cause and change it!

 By the way, after cleansing, I have lost 16 kilograms. Without changing my sport activities, I just thought to try it. I was open to try anything. It worked, so now I follow an almost raw vegetable and fruit menu.

 I’m learning, you can too. No matter your age, your diet, thick or thin, young or old, nourish yourself rightly and get rid of your Migraine, your headaches, your overweight…..
