The Death Of Affiliate Marketing

If you are an affiliate marketer, you may have wondered what has been going on in the community.

People who used to be making 5 and 6 figures a month are suddenly scrambling to launch more products than they ever thought they would have to. I can't name names, but many marketers that were once making huge incomes from teaching how to make money online are now back into the trenches, competing with the students that they were training.

It is not the economy.

Well, the economy usually helps the make money online market when it is down, so that should have been the opposite. But I think the biggest problem is that marketers have begun hoarding their customer lists. They find the people who are buying, they get them into a training course and then they take them offline to work with them one on one. These people are spending large amounts of cash each month to be trained, and they do not have the resources to buy anything else. So instead of being able to fork out money on every imaginable program out there, they are being more selective about who they listen to.

Hence the results in affiliate marketing seem to drop.

But if you were to look at the sales of products, they are not dropping, but the products that are selling are not necessarily in the Make Money Online Niche. You can find many people making money by simply creating blogs on the topic of their choice and then building a following using the Social Net Effect - a method of using blogs and social media to grow a huge network of potential customers.
