How keeping up with technology can help your business

Have you heard the latest news? Incredible! Google's Nexus One the search leader will unveil its own smartphone. This really got me thinking this morning on how important it is to keep up with the latest cutting edge moves in the online world. To keep our business' growing it is important not to be left behind.
I think that is why so many have failed in network marketing because they use old techniques ie the 3 foot rule, that Ann Sieg talks about. She saw this early on along with a number of 'old' broken techniques.
Early in my online business I bought leads to grow my business but the attrition was terrible...and of course it was not profitable for quite a long time. It works to a limited extent I did manage to work my way up the marketing plan to a leadership position and earned over $100,000 over 3 years. It was long enough to get some to stick around but I quickly ran out of money, and I also knew that to duplicate myself I would have to attract others with deep pockets. To me that was not a working plan. I started exploring and came across Mike Dillards attraction marketing and started moving towards generating my own leads.
I have tried non credit based safelists, credit based safelists, traffic exchanges and text ad exchanges. They all work to a limited degree if you are willing to do massive action and advertise consistently and earning the credits to get your advertisements out there. You certainly have to like email with most of those methods!
I worked this method for six months and again got limited results I knew it was a poor return on my investment in time. I also knew it would be hard to duplicate. I knew my focus had to be on building a list, building a following and becoming a leader that others would want to follow.
So now I've moved onto the blueprint success formuala which I will unfold as I see the results...basically using social network marketing as my main focus. There are a lot of techniques and pieces to the puzzle which again I will share as time goes by.
