Relationship building is very crucial. You do not want to take building relationships for granted. Think about this: You want to get to know your people and help them figure out their why. Relationships do not go bankrupt companies do.
Ever since you were 5 years old you have done network marketing. You told your parents your favorite books and movies that you wanted them to buy for you. Back in junior high school you talked about your favorite TV shows and movies as well and you formed the relationships because of common interests. The more common interests you share with someone the more likely he is going to want to deal with you.
There is no reason to sell people on network marketing. If you have seen in school especially during your teen years that some people were cliquish and not always including you in their plans, why should you bather selling people whom you hardly even know? Come on now.
Also if you know it is not right to chase people to hang out with you when a friendship has been established, let alone network marketing. Why should you sell them? Again it makes absolutely no sense. It is the same result and you will be avoided like the plague if you even give that a try.
The people whom you want to have on your team are not the ones who are desperate for money or attention. They will wear you out and get you nowhere.
You want to have people who will follow directions and do what they said that they are going to do and are clear on their why in their business. That means their why is bigger than the money. For instance buying a condo in Hawaii and having all the time in the world to hang out at Wakiki beach after building strong solid relaitonships and helping others accomplish their goals through relationships is an example.
Do not focus on x amount of money or else you are going to chase it. Talk to many people but do not consider them a number. Consider them a normal person whom you would develop a friendship with. When you hit that one person who is very outgoing with excellent social skills and has thousands of connections. That person will explode your business and will bring a ton of montly income for you.
That is the rules of the game.

An excellent application of old school wisdom
Hi Lawrence,
I found your article very useful. It provided me with a known framework as my point of reference, to understand one of the main points in magnetic sponsoring.
Using the recruiting process to filter out thoes not ready for our team.
Of course we all make these kinds of decisions in our lives and have done so since childhood.
