The Master Key to Success
I watched a short video yesterday made by Dr. Hill, so many years ago.
In it he basically said anything if life could be achieved by learning
this one simple concept. "What ever the mind can conceive, and
believe, the mind can achieve." The Master Key to Success!
Everything else he says is secondary to this fundamental principle. So
how do we condition the mind to believe? Using auto suggestion is a
good start! Its a simple matter to fool the subconscious into
believing anything, good or bad. Advertisers know this well, and try
to create ads that stimulate belief, and emotion. To create an impulse
to buy and buy again.
Television and media use this technique very effectively, by bringing
disaster, chaos, grief, sorrow, and anything negative they can find or
create to the fore front. Once sucked in to this whirlpool of misery,
it's very difficult to free ourselves from the addiction of
negativity. The programming continues with reality shows, cop shows,
murder mysteries, end of the world programs, anything that creates a
negative emotion will have a lasting effect on the subconscious mind.
The idea then is for those of us who wish to turn the tables and
choose to focus on the positive things in life, to create ways of
influencing the subconscious mind, through autosuggestion, self talk,
mind movies, affirmations, and being around positive people will also
have a lasting effect on the mind, and produce positive results and
I recently was given a generic set of short videos with upbeat music,
and short simple, but powerful messages that should be viewed morning
upon rising, and evening before retiring. It's incredible what a few
short minutes of viewing and listening to something powerful and
positive can do for the development of proper mind set! I know that
the world could change, overnight, if the majority would make the
simple act of working on the subconscious mind several times a day, a
habit, rather than a chore. Sure beats feeling lousy after watching
some news program on the latest mass killing!
Self talk is something we can carry with us and use anytime, day or
night. I noticed I'd stopped doing my self talk each day, and things
have slowed down in the growth of my business. Doesn't it make sense
to make a habit of the things that empower you, then to keep doing
these things? Why do we fall off the wagon, and stop using the tools
we have available to move forward? Go figure...
Yes, the subconscious is impartial, dumber than a box of rocks I've
been told. It will follow whatever you give it, and give you what you
focus on. There's no magic to it, its just what it is. I may as well
work with it, and not against myself!
