Here we go

Your “Why” in Marketing, Internet & Otherwise

The reason we do things is what gives us wings to make us fly…no…it is not Red Bull!

Maybe that could add some flavor, but there are 9 or so reasons which motivate us to action.

We may be inspired to act by a combination of 3 or so…or predominantly one.

They are;

• Survival
• Creative Expression
• Love
• Hate
• Revenge
• Material Gain & comfort
• Financial Freedom
• Life after Death
• Recognition

If you know the real reason why you want to pursue Internet Marketing, it will become so much easier for you as time goes on.  Say you want to do it for Recognition…Well then to become a great Internet Marketing Guru & have all the so called glory that comes with that, you will know exactly the dedication needed to endure to bring it on from reading my posts here.

Now, Financial Freedom is different; I know personally an Internet Marketing Guru who earns over $100,000 a month here in Australia! His goal is to use the cash flow to create income from property investment for retirement. (an Ahaaaah moment!)

He is using his internet marketing funds to build a brick & mortar empire, which will endure over time.

Then I learned some more financial strategies from a few other internet gurus & changed my whole attitude & approach to the  plan I had originally started with, which was…become a guru…FAST!

I was stressed & frustrated I couldn’t get going like my plan needed & I did not have the cash to be coached by anyone half good. (I was getting on in years, never been on the internet or even sent an e-mail until around May 2008 & was on the old age pension) So, as I stumbled across these different ideas & thought about them & then after choosing a new pathway embracing a couple of ideas from the gurus, I felt so much better & more relaxed about the internet & how I could become financially free, which is what I really wanted from being a guru!

I didn’t want to be a guru for guru’s sake; only for the money they make! Then I found out my motivator was not the recognition but more creative expression & a way I could earn cash flow at my age to build wealth from property development, (which I liked) for retirement income!

Long way round, but it certainly has cut down my stress levels & made my whole internet marketing journey & life more enjoyable every day. Then the strangest of things began happening.

Everything just started falling into place as I did anything.  Everything became easy & free flowing.  Nothing seemed to stress me out as much anymore & I felt…wait for it…Yes; HAPPY!

I even submitted a video this month(July 2009) to a competition Mike Dillard ran, which I made on my little $88 Samsung digital camera. Did not realize it took movies too! I used “to wait until everything was perfect” before I’d do anything, now I am so empowered by the freedom & relaxation, I just do it; maybe badly, but then I can learn from that experience.

The next thing I have to do is rearrange my list building system. No one tells you how to actually begin or precisely how to capture & prepare to manage that very first name, what tools to set up or in which order..

What business map or plan should I use?  Affiliate Quickie or Affiliate Lead Capture, Opt in or Double opt in & so on....

Put an opt in on a blog, set up a squeeze page with opt in on it, sure sounds easy, but first you have to learn what a blog, opt in, squeeze page etc is, let alone the precise mechanism of how all that is structured!

I’ve heard stories of businesses with huge data bases (Lists) having to change autoresponder servers & lost half their people because they set it up wrong at the beginning.

Next I’m sharing “How I Set up my Affiliate Links” for 3 absolute must have systems & 2 of them are FREE!

Well, I had to leave urgently as my sister went unconscious again & now I am her carer for a time...

It's now New Year, 2010 & she is picking up & I can get back into my Quest!
