Begin with the end in mind
What’s up BetterNetwoker's!!!
I’ve been reading the very popular book, “the seven habits of highly effective people.” This book is amazing. The lessons taught in this critically acclaimed book can help you with your business, personal, spiritual and mental life.
I am not even half way through the book yet, and I have noticed so many parallels to my own life. It has opened my eyes to areas of my life that I must work on to improve my relationships, my business, my outlook and several other areas of my life.
The chapter I am currently reading is titled, “Beginning with the end in mind.” At the beginning of the chapter you are told to close your eyes and visualize your own funeral. Who will give your eulogy? What will they say about you? What kind of life did you lead? What contributions to humanity did you make? What kind of contributions to your community did you make? Did you leave this world a better place than you found it?
What a powerful exercise! If that does not trigger a turning point in your life, I don’t know what will.
I believe that beginning with the end in mind is vital to the long-term success of your business. If you start a new business you must know where you are going in order to get there. What will your business look like 10 years from now? What will it look like 5 years from now? One year? 6 months? 90 days? 30 days? Tomorrow?!!!
You must have a clear picture in your mind of exactly what you want to accomplish or will just be energetically spinning your wheels. This is especially true in network marketing because often you are working alone, with no other motivation other than your own will and determination. In many cases you are actually deterred from real success by those closest to you. If you don’t know where you are going, you are starting out with one foot already in the grave.
Begin with the end in mind! Plan out where your business will be in the future. Visualize it as if you were already there. What will it look like? What will it feel like? What will it smell like? Implement this practice and your business and your life will never be the same.
I highly recommend reading, “The seven habits of highly effective people,” for anyone looking to make some real changes in their relationships, their business and their overall life.
