How To Overcome Fear
Oh, no…. Bite fingers… I forgot…
Today let’s define what fear is all about, share examples, find out why we fear, and action steps to take in learning how to overcome fear.
1. Define Fear: Feelings in your body or emotional response. Your source of survival and social conditioning in learned patterns.
Write down your fears… go ahead, I know you have a least 3!
2. Examples: 1yr. old – NO, clowns, water, heights, flying, simply your environment that shows pain, loss, suffering
Biblical: Moses fear:
Mine: expectations people expect of me… getting 10 people to join my business in the next 2 weeks, reaching an income goal of 10,000 per month, calling new people on the phone.
3. Why we fear: Can be a good thing as it protects you and comes from programming. Same fear brings you failure, brings you success.
You have to change your subconscious. Bruce Lipton PhD says:
“When it comes to processing information the subconscious mind is over a million times more powerful than the conscious mind. Neuro scientists have revealed that the conscious mind only operates at best about five percent of the day. Ninety five percent or more of the time (for most people ninety nine percent) we run our lives from the automatic processor, the subconscious mind.” Bruce Lipton PhD
4. Action steps:
Vision without action is a daydream.
Action without vision is a nightmare.
Japanese Proverb
Reprogram your subconscious mind: Everyday you don’t feed your mind, you allow emotions to increase. Most emotions are negative. Why written goals are so important:
1. Write down change: affirmation on part of life you want to improve.. fear you just wrote down. Make that fear into an affirmation:
Ex. I love making $10,000 per month. It feels great.
When I greet people, I greet them with gladness in my being.
I do not adapt to my environment. I persist in making my environment adapt to me.
I am relaxed and filled with peace of mind. In my relaxed state, my body repairs and heals itself quickly.
2. Rewrite it
3. Record it
4. Act on it: say morning and night everyday and rewrite it for 30 days then re-evaluate for new ones.
Share how 95% of people hold in this stress and anxiety. Change is in the 5% of your mind.
People actually take medicine for stress, here is an alternative: take the natural, auovadic solutions, where yoga came from.
