Gov. Steve Beshear went to court and asked for state control over 141 illegal online gambling Web sites that operate in Kentucky by seizing their domain names. The governor wants to restrict access to the Web sites.
if (self['plpm'] && plpm['Mid-Story Ad']) document.write('');if (self['plpm'] && plpm['Mid-Story Ad']){ document.write(plpm['Mid-Story Ad']);} else { if(self['plurp'] && plurp['97']){} else {document.write(''); } }if (self['plpm'] && plpm['Mid-Story Ad']) document.write('');
Kentucky loses millions of dollars a year to online gambling, which is illegal in all 50 states. Beshear said Kentucky is the first state to try seizing the domain names as a way to crack down on their operations.
