Keep Going

This is all about tenacity, not letting go of what you’re working towards. It’s normal to get discouraged when working toward a dream or a goal. Sometimes the drawback is minor, just a hitch in your plans, and sometimes it’s really overwhelming, like a brick wall. Either way, holding on gets you through the rough times.

When you are rowing a boat on a river, you can’t see around the bend, but if you keep rowing you will get around that bend and see what is there and what is ahead. You have no way of knowing what you will find until you get there. The same is true of traveling over a mountain or going through a tunnel: you keep going until you reach the other side.

If you stop and give up before you get to where you want to be, you will never know what may have come your way just around the next corner, the next day, with the next push forward.

To my friend Juanita

Hi Juanita,
You are wonderful...you are kind and generous and I'm glad that we are friend.
I’m writing a book and am waiting to publish – “Empowered by Hope” This philosophy is not new or revolutionary. However, it is powerful because of where it came from—far, far away and long, long ago, from a time and place full of love and good intentions.

These are lessons I learned in my childhood from my father. He instilled his philosophy and values in me and I was his avid pupil. Like a sponge I soaked it up and it became part of my daily life.

Best, Ha

Dear Ha

I just read your post and the timing was right on the money. I'm feeling very down this morning. I've been working very hard over the past several months implementing everything I've been learning about online marketing but nothing yet is producing any results. I've been questioning lately whether or not I'm doing the right thing with my time but now after reading your message, I know that I am. I just have to forge on and work my skills until I find the formula that draws in results. Thanx!

Dear Daniel

Don't ask "What's more important to do just now?"
Instead ask, "What am I going to focus on right now that will improve my mood and my day?"

A. Wake up in the morning with a sense of gratitude.
B. Clarify what you're grateful for and why. This motivates you to find more to be grateful for.
C. Review your goals for the day.
D. Take immediate action to support those goals. What is your strategy for achieving them? By taking an action toward your goals you're setting yourself in motion in the direction you want to go, giving your mind the message that you're ready and willing to make them happen.
E. Refuse to hang on to any unsupportive thoughts.
F. When you're stuck, get unstuck by taking a physical action-any first step will do, as long as it gets you literally moving.
G. Focus on solutions instead of the obstacles.
H. Imagine that you are there at the finish line, having completed your tasks and reached your goals for the day. How do you feel? Pleasure, success, fulfillment. What will you do to reward yourself?
Please let me hear from you. My best to you my dear friend Daniel
