Is There Really A Science to Success?

If you read your local nrewspaper today, or listened on the news, you may have heard that Warren Buffet is now the reported "richest man in the world". Sporting a cool $62 Billion plus net worth. So was their a "Science to His Success"? If you have read Napolean Hill's book, "Think and Grow Rich", and buy into his research, then the answer is YES. There is a science to his success, and it's available to YOU.

When I researching the networking marketing industry prior to joining this past year, I spent many hours researching different companies, opportunities, and successful people within the industry. The biggest question on my mind was why some people became millionaires and so many others failed?? What seperates the 2 groups?

Well in this blog, I'm not going to get into all the possible factors, I am going to share an observation that became very clear in researching and getting to know some of the most successful companies and people within the industry.

Observation #1. Many of the landing pages I went to offered Napeleon Hill's book, "Think and Grow Rich" for my contact information. As I far as I know, he was one of the first authors to write about what were some of the common characteristics of people who achieved extraordinary results. Whether it was Albert Einstein, Henry Ford or many others he studies over 25 years, he found a pattern of actions that were first born out in their "thoughts", that ultimately produced immense wealth, incredible discoveries, and huge contributions to peoples' lifes. Mr. Hill proved that there was a Science to Success beyond a shadow of doubt.

Observation #2. I noticed that many of the websites or landing pages also had a link to the movie, "The Secret". I had never heard of this movie before, so I was curious. I went to the websight, bought a copy of the movie, and was introduced to new way of communicating about becoming successful. If you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend you get a copy. As I watched this movie several times, I really became enamored with different teachers who were interviewed and the common theme they all seemed to be communicating. For example, Success is a mindset and it all starts with our thoughts. If I am constantly thinking about bad outcomes, then guess what? That's usually what I will get. On the other hand, if my focus is on a outcome I highly desire and I stay focused on that outcome, eventually it will manifest itself in my life. The expression, "Thoughts Become Things" was hammered into my mine.

On the surface, I had a difficulty buying into this thinking. How can just thinking about something, like I want a Million Dollars in my bank account by the end of this year, bring it into my life, without some action on my part.

Well, during the movie, one particular expert and teacher on this "Law of Attraction", really resonated with me. I loved his story about Aladdin's genie, and how the universe was like the genie, and all I had to do was make my wishes. He even further explained that at the origin of this story, there were no limits on the wishes. Somehow over time, the wishes got limited to 3. I liked his version much better.

At this point, I knew that if I was going to really become a student of the "Laws of Attractiion" and "The Science of Success", I was going to have to do more research. Since I really connected with this teacher on "The Secret". I figured I might as well do some research on him. So I googled, "James Ray".

Turns out this guy has been on Oprah, is a highly successful "personal development" coach, and has written, presented, and even holds workshops helping people become all they truly desire to be. I also appreciated the fact that he is an entreprenuer and has built a multi-million dollar company helping people.

Well, since SUCCESS was definitely something I wanted in my new home business, I figured that if he could help mentor me, my chances for reaching my goals would greatly improve.

Today, James Ray is a very sought after speaker, puts on workshops all across the coutry, and trains top corporate executives all over the world. That certainly speaks well of his success, but it also meant that in terms of hiring him to tutor me personally, he would probably be just outside of my budget (lol).....

Nonetheless, James has put together some training programs and seminars in order to reach out to all of us who truly desire to experience success as we always or use to dream. Fortunately he came to my home town for a free 2 hour event, and I left there more fired up about my life and the possiblities than I can ever remember. A truly dynamic and challenging speaker.

That night, I left there with 2 of his programs. "The Science of Success", and "The Million Dollar Mindset". I also signed up for weekend seminar that was the most amazing and transforming seminar I have ever attended. Interestingly, he often references "Think and Grows Rich in his courses and at the seminar. Appears Napaleon was on to something. He had discovered "The Science of Success".
