My Favorite Top 10 WordPress Plugins
When you install a WordPress blog it comes with the basic functionalities for you to get started with blogging only. The cool thing is that it allows you to customize and add more features to your WordPress according to your needs and make your experience much more enjoyable and fun.
Here are my 10 favorite WordPress plugins that I personally use and recommend.
1. Google XML Sitemaps - This plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com to better index your blog.
2. All in One SEO Pack – This plugin automatically optimizes your WordPress blog for Search Engines
3. TweetMeme – This is a plugin that adds a button which easily lets your visitors retweet your blog posts.
4. WP Auto Tagger – Need some help to choose keywords? This plugin automatically finds and suggests tags based on your post content.
5. Subscribe Remind – This plugin gives your readers a little reminder to subscribe to your blog's feed at the endof each post.
6. What Would Seth Godin Do – This is a very cool plugin! It displays a custom welcome message to new visitors and another to return visitors and you can customize the message to invite them to subscribe to your RSS feed or your optin list.
7. WP Super Cache – Over time as you add more plugins to your WordPress blog it may become a little bit slow to load your pages. This plugin helps to speed up the load time of your blog.
8. Sociable – This plugin allows your visitors to share your content on social bookmarking sites.
9. Fast Secure Contact Form – I learned that sharing your email address publicly is not such a good idea because of so many spammers out there crawling websites harvesting email addresses. This plugin allows your visitors to send you an email directly from your blog and protects you from spam messages.
10. TinyMCE Advanced – Ever felt frustrated not being able to format your text the way you want it? Then you will be amazed with this plugin, it lets you format your font size and family, paragraphing space and much more just like you do in Microsoft Word!
If you enjoyed this post feel free to share it with your contacts, they will thank you so much for that. Leave your comments with thoughts and suggestions. I’d love to hear your feedback. Thank you!
Make it a great day!

Great list! I also love Related Posts plugin -- it provides your readers with suggestions for other posts you've written related to the original post. Keeps them reading!
Great post Anderson
Thanks for this post Anderson. I always love seeing what other people are using when it comes to plugins. I installed the Subscribe Remind plugin. I really like it, thanks again for the post.
Nice List
Thanks for sharing your list, saw a couple plugins that might be helpful to my site, thanks again.
Thanks so much for sharing these!
Sometimes WP drives me crazy, and these plugins are great!
Got a couple new ideas
Hi Anderson,
Thanks for the post! I use most of the plugins you mentioned (and can vouch for them as well), but I did get a couple of new ideas that I've already implemented. Thanks for that!
I re-tweeted this article to show my thanks as well. Have a great day!

Agree with the list I would
Agree with the list I would also recommend
ComLuv and KeyWordLuv both of which encourage people to comment.
A point to consider is that WWSGD and Subscribe Remiind do a similar job and may confuse your readers. Just something to think about.
I have also found that using WP Super Cache you have to remember to empty caches when you change pages or add new plug-ins.
Finally I heartily recommend Ironclad CAPTCHA as it really cuts down the spam commenters.
Thanks for letting the community know about this 'must have' list of plug-ins.
Thank You!
Thank you all of you for your feedback. I really appreciate it!
Hey Andrew, good point you mentioned. Before WWSGD I used only Subscribe Remind, now I still have that installed on my blog but it is not active. Yesterday when I went through my plugins to write this post I forgot about this little detail since I like both of them. Then if you go for WWSGD you don't need to install Subscribe Remind as well.
Thanks, you're the BetterNetworkers!!

anderson,
i can tell you have worked through how to minimize your time and maximize your effectiveness. good list.
one plugin that is worth paying for is wp-robot. on those days where you don't have time to blog, you can pick a post from a keyword that the robot found and add a sentence or two giving your thought about it and you are on to the next thing.
