Do You Visit Social Networks Regularly?

Social networking through bookmarking sites, social networking sites, forums, blogs, podcasting and video sites are currently all the rage.
There are literally thousands of places that you can go to get the word out about your home business.
I have been online almost 10 years now and am really excited about the "new marketing" that is growing online. Back in the beginning, (around 1999) when I first started online, there were not many options available for a wahm who had no capital to get her feet wet. Now, there are almost too many choices.
The trick is to find a few sites under each category that work for you and the use them consistently. In the beginning it is more about quality than quanity.
Dare to be different from other marketers and move slowly.
Sure it may take more time to see profit but once you do begin to see results they will continue to grow and be long lasting.
If you moved into a new house with a plot of barren land and wanted to grow a beautiful garden, you could run out and purchase a bunch of annuals and have a beautiful garden within a few days.
But then...next spring you would have to repeat your efforts.
If you take the time to really plan out your garden. Testing the soil, knowing where to plant , purchasing perennials ect. your garden will eventually grow almost by itself with only a little help from you. Sure...it will take alot longer than simply buying annuals every year, but the results will be so much more worth it.
It is the same with your home business. you will get what you put into it. Start by researching a few sites ..maybe start with a list of 5 at first.
Read the site carefully through so you understand all the guidelines required by the site as well as all the benefits they offer you. If they have an blog use it. If your able to contact others as your friends...then do so. Try to be organized and track your efforts. Decide that your going to write on your blog three days a week for example, and then do so. Or...maybe you will decide to contact 10 people every day and add them as your friends.
Consistent daily effort will pay off.
Here are a few of my favorite places to get you started. (Besides Betternetworker.com of course)
