Judge Other Peoples Motives
"If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man's life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility. -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Miserable people are suspicious. If someone is nice to them, miserable people say," I wonder why they did that." They look sideways at service and think that angles have an angel.
Happy people receive the gift and return gratitude, while the miserable are garaciouis up front, but wonder what's behind it. Everyone's a suspect, and favors are fishy. They don't realize the Good Samaritan wasn't performing a service project, he was actually good!
And he has good company today. But, if you'd rather be miserable, then you'll have to go on believing that everyone has an agenda and being a crtic of kindness.
Hope you understood this one!
