The most common MLM Mistake

As I continure to coach people in Business ownership, I find the mistakes people make are the same as they've always been.  You may find what I'm about to say a little odd, but the most common mistake I find people making is they are starting their business by selling product.

Don't get me wrong, you need to sell product, and having product knowledge will benefit you.  I believe Visalus has the best products on the market which is part of why I'm here, and understanding the power of Visalus products is definitely important.  But there are many people out there with great Visalus product knowledge who are starving.  If you focus on product, than what niche do you have?

To make my point, I worked with one lady who was excited about Visalus and shared it with everyone she met.  Many were polite and took her literature.  Later she found out that three of those people actually did join Visalus, BUT THROUGH SOMEONE ELSE.  She was furious and shared her frustration with me.

I listened and truly felt compassion for her, but I also helped her see the problem of making the product your focus.  She convinced her friends that ViPak was great, but she didn't convince them that she could help them achieve their goals.  You must make your product YOU.

If you can't tell me why I should work with you instead of someone else, you probably will struggle.  Find out what you have to offer someone, whether it be your expertise, influence, team building, technology, whatever it is.....find out who YOU are, thenthe Visalus opportunity can catipult you into everything you've dreamed.
